We engaged Michael to produce a set of detailed design drawings to support our building control application for a new build development of 4 units. He spent time understanding the need visiting the site to understand our requirements well. Following submission and throughout the build process we continued to engage with Michael to make changes as we encountered things which needed to be modified as the site developed. What do you love most about your job?
Mainly the problem solving, when faced with an issue I feel a certain achievement when I've found an elegant solution. I enjoy the technicality of the work and being able to help my clients with their vision. But my favourite part is that there's always room for improving my skill set, and my continuous improvement is a motivator for me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
From a young age I have enjoyed analysing the drawings my father would leave around his office of an on-going job. Successfully achieving Planning Permission on a property my father owned at the age of 13 gave me confidence in my abilities. And the rest if history!

Most of the work can be remote, such as communication or amendments to client supplied drawings. However to be able to draft an existing drawing of your property, a site visit is required.

Planning drawings only, this is ideal for a first draft of your project. Or you require a floor plan detailing the fire evacuation routes for your business. Site visit is required to complete existing building drawings.

Essential Service + Building Regulation Drawings. This is a must to get your project through Planning and Building Regulation process. Ideal for clients who have experience in submitting applications and dealing with local authorities.
Comprehensive Service
