What’s your interior design process?
INTERIOR DESIGN
My services all start in the same way - with an online questionnaire. Next, we meet online so you can show me where you live (and how you want to live) and we can talk more about style, functional needs and so on. You can also send photographs, floorplans or anything else that's important to be considering within the interior design. It’s a bit like therapy for your home, I guess!
Here are some 2 of the services I offer
Seedling: an online consultation - £160 per room.
This service is for when you have some ideas, but you need a hand pulling it all together. It includes:
* 60-min online consultation
* 1 x Design Scheme (eg. with suggestions for paint/paper/ furniture/floorplan/lighting, artwork/flooring) to help complete your project.
Sapling: e-design package for a single room - £350
* 60-min online consultation
* Concept/Mood board
* 1 x scaled floorplan solution
* Lighting design (if required)
* Design Scheme with paint/paper, colours, furniture etc
* Sustainable Shopping list with paint, furniture, flooring
* 1 set of revisions (if needed)
* 14 days of Design Support from the delivery of your edesign package
I also offer services for more than one room, multipurpose spaces etc. This costs from £600 depending on the size of the project.
How long does it take?
The Online Design Consultation (£175)- has the fastest turnaround - you'll get a design scheme delivered to you within 5-7 days.
Other e-design services usually only take a couple of weeks to a month.
Payment
Seedling Online Consultation : full payment in advance.
Sapling Single Room : 50% in advance + 50% upon completion
For more than one room, payment might be split into three or more stages depending on the complexity of the work. This would be discussed and agreed upon prior to starting work.
Please note: if you require samples eg paint, paper, fabric, I will do my best to source free of charge, but anything with a cost will be added to your final invoice.
I have trade accounts with a number of suppliers and am happy to pass on discounts to my clients.

What inspired you to start your own business?
I began as a graphic designer and illustrator, but I wanted to be able to provide design solutions to real life problems, using a holistic way of thinking.

I have indepth knowledge about sustainable design, biophilic design and I use the best eco-friendly paints and finished I can find. I understand the importance of site location, and I use design thinking methods to produce the best solutions for your place.

Remote services mean complete safety! Were I to visit you in person, I would adhere to any request you gave so that you feel secure whilst I was in your space.
E-Design
Fixed-price, time saving interiors services.
Make Better Interiors E-Designs are fixed-price, remote, digital interior design services that provide you with everything you need to implement an interior design yourself.
All packages start with a questionnaire and a Zoom Consultation and then, you will receive Concept/Mood boards, floor plans, design schemes with eg. paint/paper, colours, furniture etc, shopping list.
Graphics / Illustration
I have over 20 years experience creating graphics & illustration for a wide range of clients.
I can provide all the printed materials you might need to bring your commerical interior together or make your residential space truly unique.
Bespoke art, or branded graphics can be applied to your walls, doors, windows or vehicles to help create a strong and cohesive look.
I always choose eco-friendly materials and I use PVC-free vinyl wherever suitable.
In Person / Full Interior Design Services
For Edinburgh city centre only - full interior design with site survey/analysis, face to face consultation, physical material samples. We then move to everything that a remote service offers - scaled floorplans, design schemes, lighting plans, visuals, elevations.
