Waking & Sleeping Nights
Waking Night Care involves a carer who remains awake throughout the night, providing continuous support and assistance.
This service is ideal for individuals who require constant supervision or assistance during the night, and where their health or safety could be compromised if left alone.
During Waking Night Care, the carer may assist with a variety of tasks, including:
Personal care (e.g., evening and morning hygiene)
Toileting support
Repositioning for individuals who are bed-bound
Medication administration
Regular monitoring (e.g, hourly checks or as required)
Sleeping Night Care
Sleeping Night Care offers a more flexible option for individuals who don’t require constant attention but still feel more comfortable having someone nearby during the night.
The carer sleeps within the individual’s home and is available to assist if needed.
This service is ideal for those who:
Do not need regular or constant support during the night.
Feel more comfortable knowing someone is available if needed.
Experience concerns related to sleep deprivation or night-time anxiety.
Although the carer sleeps for a minimum of 8 hours, they remain on call and are readily available to respond to any needs.
They monitor:
Call alarms or bed safety fall pads
Responding to any requests for assistance throughout the night
