Leighton and his team put in a whole new bathroom for me.. when i bought the property the old bathroom really made me sad. I hated it! Leighton and team were an absolute pleasure to work with, Nikki was wonderful for bouncing design ideas off and securing the best prices on everything, while Leighton and Ben worked their magic. The old bathroom was removed quickly and quietly and the new bathroom started to take shape... it was an absolute joy! Leighton and Ben really cared about what they were doing, everything had to be perfect and they communicated with me throughout. I’ve never had a nice bathroom - now I’ve the best bathroom - it would hard to find a more spangly beautiful bathroom anywhere! I’m super super proud of it! Now a cheeky glass of wine in the bath with candles and music is literally my favourite way to unwind at the end of the day.I couldn’t recommend Leighton James Plumbing & Heating highly enough. They’ve since changed a kitchen tap at my holiday let, fixed a toilet in an emergency there too and now are booked to return to give the showeroom at home a makeover as well. Depending on the brief for the job, we follow this process for continuity and structure.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
Our speciality is period renovation - bringing those Victorian and mid-century homes back to their former glory or just enhancing them. We also love modern design and have recently completed the most wonderful renovation in St Ives for a famous author and art critic. Pictures of this renovation can be found on our website.
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people's ideas and developing the brief to deliver a finish beyond what they thought they could achieve. You never have 2 jobs the same - doing something different and creative to create happiness is a wonderful thing.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for a local council whilst my children were small and never felt fulfilled. I started working for my husband plumbing & heating business and slowly started to get involved in the design side of the projects he was working on. That then led to me doing more design work and I'm now so happy doing what I do.
Why should our clients choose you?
I personalise every job by listening to the clients wants and expectations but can use my experience to your advantage. I have access to skilled tradespeople, so if you're planning a renovation the process is stress free for you and you have me keeping the project tight and on track. I am focussed, organised and love to work hard.

Full service of the boiler, combustion levels checked and certificate issued.
Gas safety certificate
Safety certificate for landlords rented accommodation.
Boiler installation
New or replacement boiler installations carried out by our fully qualified engineers. We are Worcester Bosch accredited installer, so can offer extended warranty on Worcester products - up to 12-years on some boiler models.
Full heating system installation
We would carry out a survey on your property to work out the correct sized boiler and radiators to efficiently heat your home and provide perfect hot water flow rates.
Bathroom renovation
Our expert team can advise and assist your new bathroom design. To make the job as stress-free as possible for you, we can provide all the trades required for your project - plumbers, tilers, electricians, carpenters, plasters etc.
Property renovation
With access to highly skilled tradespeople, we can arrange the right trades and project manage your renovation. We will work closely with you for the duration of the project to ensure we achieve your vision. Nikki is also an expert interior guru and can advise on products and styling to take your ideas to the next level.
Boiler breakdowns
Leighton is our expert boiler guy and there isn't much he doesn't know about boilers. His expertise is fault finding and repairing those boxes on the wall that keep us warm and in hot showers!
Plumbing install and repairs
Our team can fit you a new tap or fit you a new hot water cylinder - we have the means to take on those little jobs as well as big installations.
Interior styling
This is what Nikki does. Her passion is interiors. Whilst she is currently renovating her own home, she loves to lose herself in her clients work and create the most wonderful spaces for homeowners and local holiday lets. Working with your brief, she will advise and bring to life your vision. If vision is something you struggle with, don't worry - with her vast experience and keen eye for detail, Nikki will guide you through the process to achieve the beautiful home you desire.
