Sent a WhatsApp message to Craig on Thursday morning, he replied very promptly. We arranged for him to visit to assess the problem with the sticky and jamming UPVC front and back doors. Turns out there was a screw missing which was causing the doors to not latch properly. Everyone is happy to see a Locksmith! Helping people in their moment of need is extremely rewarding. No job is the same and it is technically very challenging which I enjoy immensely.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The death of my wife. I realised it was time to follow my passions, to be helping people, being in my local community and offering a service that is built by reputation through one customer at a time.

I Cannot thank Craig enough! He came to the rescue on a freezing Sunday morning when my front door lock and handle broke. No call out fee, no extra charge for a weekend and was with me in an hour! Brilliant service, honest, affordable and upfront pricing. Adhered to social distancing measures and sanitised all surfaces upon completion of job. I do not supply any remote services as Locksmith work is very hands on. I am happy to give advice over the phone when possible - but this is very much the exception to the rule. Customers will often send me photo's of their lock problems which can be very helpful at times.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Locksmith work is classed as a low risk trade. Most of the work is done on the door step meaning there is very little contact with the customer. I check to see if anyone is self isolating, maintain a 2m distance and sanitize everything I've touched upon completion of the work.
