Shiatsu is an ancient healing art that we borrow from Japan. It's based on the meridian system of energy. So these are pathways that run throughout the body similar to acupuncture. It's older than acupuncture and came before needles were invented.

Jean-Philippe is absolutely amazing!
I have already recommended and booked sessions for family and friends.
My friend who is a regular client, recommended highly of Jean-Philippe and I am very grateful and pleased overall with his care, dedication to his clients and providing an exceptional level of treatment.
I suffer from stress and muscle fatigue. I immediately felt relief and relaxed in his care. Jean-Philippe is a wonderful person who radiates calm and friendly energy.

Mr Guichard went that extra mile to provide me with a professional, cost effective and pain relieving massage. I felt younger and more flexible, like I had a spring in my step on my evening walk for the first time in ages after he visited me for the first time.

Jean-Phillips is a healer in every sense of the word. He is gentle, calm and supremely intuitive about the nuances of the body and the way emotions are also held and trapped within it. Healing pains has since become a collaborative process with Jean -Phillipe . I feel he is really invested in wanting to help patients heal. One more than one occasion, he has gone over time and one time, almost an hour over, at no extra charge just to ensure that the pain is released. He deeply embodies the wisdom of shiatsu massage and Chi Nei Tsang, which I find is rare, and innately understand the way in which the body and mind are connected. As I come out of sessions, I always feel light and as though I am almost treading on water . I feel a deep state of calm - which for an anxious person like myself feels relieving. In that sense, his artistry with his hands also enables me to creatively change the function of my nervous system, one session at a time. I would highly highly recommend him - Jay More...

Brilliant session of Shiatsu was so beneficial as I was really struggling with terrible back pain. After the first season it was virtually gone but I booked a further session the following week and now it feels better than ever

I have been looking for alternative treatments to keep me as flexible as possible that fits around my work schedule. The NHS is amazing but are only really set to support physio that can 'fix' a problem. With a life long condition I am never going to be 'fixed' for want of a better word but wanted to explore the options out there to make my body work as well as it it can. Jean- Philippe was amazingly supportive and understanding. I have been stretched and moved in ways that I have not before. The effects seem to last longer too, I still feel stretched a few days after the treatment. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Jean- Philippe. Go with an open mind and see what happens. JP was professional and I left with an amazing sense of calm after my session. I do not profess to understand it but it works and thats all I need to know! More...

I have spent years exploring different options to try and make my body as stretched as it can be. In 5 minutes Jean-Philippe understood this and started work. I felt stretched out, more flexible and really calm and happy after treatment. I would recommend shiatsu with Jean-Philippe for everyone. It helps physically and mentally and is absolutely brilliant. I think my treatment was helpful for stress and relaxation and to help with energy flow and built up tension in muscles. Jean Philippe was very friendly and polite and I would highly recommend him. I will attend his qigong class at a later date. He offered very good treatment and value for money, and will book more appointments in the future, for Shiatsu. More...

Since 3 years I am in London I tried a lot of place to relieve my back and finally I find J.P.He didn't just help me for my back but all the part of my body really painful (no need to tell him where) He take all the time it need (not just 30min like the most of osteo I saw) I advice to everybody to try at least once and see after you won't be disappointed!

What do you love most about your job?
As a Shiatsu therapist, I’d say what I love most is the opportunity to help people feel more balanced and connected with their bodies. Shiatsu is all about tuning into someone's energy and offering them relief—whether it's physical tension, emotional blockages, or just helping them find a sense of calm. It's really rewarding to see someone leave a session feeling lighter, more relaxed, or with a renewed sense of vitality. The connection you build with people, as you work together to release tension or restore flow, is a powerful part of the process too.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Starting my own business as a Shiatsu therapist was inspired by a combination of passion for healing and the desire for more autonomy in my work. I’ve always been drawn to holistic therapies, and Shiatsu felt like a perfect fit for me because it blends physical touch with energy work—both of which I find deeply meaningful.
Over time, I realised I wanted to create a space where I could provide more personalised care, foster a sense of trust with my patients, and really focus on their unique needs. Being my own boss also gave me the flexibility to approach the work in my own way, experiment with techniques, and build a business that reflects my values, which is incredibly rewarding.
Why should our clients choose you?
Patients should choose me as their Shiatsu therapist because I’m committed to providing a deeply individualised approach. I take the time to listen, not just to what you’re saying, but to what your body is telling me. Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, stress, or just want to relax, I tailor each session to meet your specific needs. I’m also passionate about creating a welcoming, safe space where people can feel comfortable and supported as they heal.
I believe in building long-term relationships with my patients, so you’re not just another session on the calendar—you’re a partner in your own healing journey. I focus on the connection between body, mind, and energy, ensuring that every treatment helps you not only feel better in the moment but also fosters lasting well-being.

Pure Cost Effective Shiatsu for Bigger Patient
It sounds nearly impossible for a simple massage to promote weight loss. When you look at it from a different perspective, you will notice that it’s not impossible. Sure, a massage consists of soft and gentle rubbing on the back, arms, legs, etc. There is no calorie burning involved during a massage, so how does it work to help someone lose weight quicker? A Weight Loss Massage such as the Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu help improve blood circulation and provide other health benefits. Everyone has fat cells, some may have more than others. The sizes of the fat cells also have a huge impact on the person’s weight. The reason behind obesity and overweight may be due to genetics. A person who is overweight or obese is most likely to have developed fat cells in fewer amounts but bigger in size. These people’s bodies demand more work due to the larger size of fat cells.

Head Massage
A head massage is a time-tested and invigorating treatment for stress and tension.
Therapeutic Massage
During a therapeutic massage, a firmer pressure is used and more specific attention is paid to muscle knots or trigger points.
If you have specific muscles or trigger points that need individual attention, a therapeutic massage can help ease tension, increase range of motion and relieve chronic pain.
Power of Touch... Connecting through Touch
One stop solution for hands on therapies. Whether you are looking for relief from a specific condition or simply looking to relax.
We all know that it feels good to have a hug from someone close to you, or to receive a pat on the back for a job well done.
What you might not know is that there are physiological reasons behind why touch makes us feel good, and which explain why Massage therapy can help alleviate symptoms of anxiety, stress and depression.
The intentional, informed ‘touch’ of Massage Therapy goes even further. Along with boosting the happy hormones, it has been proven to lower the hormone cortisol – a key component in our stress response.
With a greater understanding of Massage’s ability to improve both physical and wellbeing, it’s perhaps no surprise that it is increasingly being used in cancer units and palliative care departments.
Where there are fewer physical symptoms to treat –sore muscles, twinges and niggles etc – much of the emotional benefit we receive from a massage is due to the positive effects of touch itself.
PureShiatsu and Being heard
Massage therapy is a powerful solution to support massage patients returning to themselves—and returning to the human experience of love, compassion, care, respect and being heard.
Being heard and understood is one of the most basic needs of human beings. Effective massage therapists know that helping a patient is as much about listening as it is about touching. Yet, really listening is often also one of the hardest things to do.
