Work completed to a high standard with a great level of detail. Even tiny little tweaks and changes we asked for were taken care of without a fuss even when it was mid project or different from what we’d previous asked.

Great communication throughout. Paul was always at the end of the phone when needed and would call with questions and updates regularly demonstrating the level of care and attention he put into keeping us happy and in-the-loop. Deadlines were stuck to, or changes communicated well in advance with reasoning. And there was always follow through on promises. I never had to chase anything up which was great.

All trades that worked on our house were really friendly and more than happy to tell us what was going on etc.

We would be happy to recommend JDL to anyone. The process of having work done was about as stress free as I. Can imagine, and the finished result is perfect we are really happy.

Q&As

It depends. If the work is internal only and does not involve extending the garage externally then the work should be covered under ‘permitted development rights'. However, if you intend making your garage in to a ‘granny flat’ or bedsit with facilities, this will be classed as a separate building and planning permission would usually be required.

Building Regs have to adhered to -
