I am a fully qualified, highly skilled and experienced Senior Accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor with 15-years experience of working with clients across a broad spectrum covering a wide range of issues such as, relationship problems, depression, stress (work related and personal) anxiety, bereavement, abuse, sexuality, identity, and many other personal matters.
Individuals know what is best or good for them; it is inherent in all of us. Sometimes, we lose sight of this and begin to think and feel in a negative or irrational way.
We lose our ability to resolve our own, personal issues and cease to live in a positive and productive way. We begin to make poor choices and decisions. We can feel depressed, anxious, trapped, confused, isolated, empty and lost.
I have extensive experience of working with many clients, over 12,000 contact hours.
People come to see me for a variety of reasons, I am here to help you work through your difficulties in a confidential and therapeutic space.
I also have almost ten-years experience as a Counselling Supervisor .

My role is to build a therapeutic relationship and to offer you a confidential, warm and safe environment where you are able to talk openly and freely.
My aim within the therapeutic relationship is to help you increase your potential, make better choices and find meaning and purpose within your life. You can learn how to manage negative and distressful thought patterns and behaviours.
I provide a professional, confidential service that fits your needs and enables you to be able to talk openly in a relaxed and confidential environment.
I provide a non-judgmental, pressure free space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and begin to make sense of your world. You can develop a clearer understanding of who you are and find a resolve to your internal conflict and live a more resourceful life.
I'm here to help you explore, understand and manage your difficulties so that you can begin to feel a greater sense of well-being.
Each one of us has the resources within ourselves to cope and to bring about change.
I offer encouragement and support throughout this process. I will be working with you and helping you to identify with yourself once again.
If we stop and think about our own thoughts and feelings we can see that they are ever changing as we constantly change and grow.
I employ various counselling approaches that enables me to work eclectically with each person moment by moment.
I have worked within the Third Sector for many years, the Primary Care Trust (NHS) Connexions, schools, GP's surgeries and in private practice.
Associate counsellor for Derbyshire Occupational Health and Tameside Occupational Health.
The training and experience I have gained over the years has given me knowledge and understanding of an integrated range of theories, techniques and applications such as; C.B.T. T.A. and Gestalt with the Person Centred model underpinning my work.
