Jack the Plumber provided brilliant service from the first contact. I was quickly provided with clearly explained options for the job I needed doing and there was no pressure to take the more expensive option. The quote was fast with the breakdown for the job set out. The quote was in line with researched quotes and a lot cheaper than some other local plumbers. Not great. Quite unhappy with the service received. Asked to quote for sealing bath and sealing bath waste. Was quoted £85. He then said the bath waste was 'extra and basically a favour' and the fact he left a part off was just part of the extra service I was getting for free. He left a part off which meant the bath leaked through to the kitchen, in a message he advised to get the part asap but didn't say to not use it. The bath did not get sealed correctly so actually still leaks in the same place as before. Overall not very happy. See pictures of the leak by the wall, and the very visible dip in silicone by the taps. As well as damage to kitchen ceiling extended. Incredibly rude reply when I send him pictures of the leak. Had a great experience with Jack The Plumber today. Was able to help me on a Monday after contacting over the weekend. Fixed a stopcock that we had contacted about and also removed a bath and sink and relocated our washing machine all within a couple of hours. We contacted Jack late afternoon on a Friday and he came to look at the leak we had on the Monday morning. He came early and was polite, kind and clear about what was wrong and what he needed to do to fix it. We are two married women and though it should not be a remarkable thing, it isn’t always straightforward. Jack is LGBT friendly and this added trust to having work done by a tradesperson we hadn’t met before. Jack quickly figured out the source of the leak, and then had to lift the bathroom floor and bedroom floor to sort it. It was fixed that morning at the price quoted which we feel was reasonable. Had a leak in the en-suite bathroom basin that needed urgent attention. I tried to fix it myself but failed, then called Jack The Plumber. He was busy on a job and unable to attend but asked for photos. Jack immediately gave the best possible honest advise and step by step instructions on how to fix it including parts to buy, all through WhatsApp.. I eventually managed to fix the leak myself.
