Terrible Experience with Clean On Limited – Avoid at All Costs
I hired Clean On Limited (run by Helena, aka Olena) and had an extremely disappointing experience.
Over several cleanings, the company caused significant damages to our home, with two particularly major incidents:
Damaged Refrigerator During Our Holiday: We trusted Helena to clean our home while we were away for 1.5 weeks. When we returned, we discovered damage to our refrigerator, resulting in a £300 repair. After reviewing our kitchen CCTV, it was clear that Helena had caused the damage and left the refrigerator open, which also caused condensation buildup on the floor. We initially decided not to bring this up with her and covered the repair ourselves, despite being frustrated by the situation.
Wood Floor Damage from Wet Rags: A cleaner left a pile of soaking wet rags on our wooden floor instead of using the nearby laundry basket. We left for a trip right after she finished and returned three days later to find significant damage to the wood, including rotting and separation. CCTV footage confirmed the cleaner’s carelessness, as she ignored both the laundry basket and the open washing machine right next to where she left the rags.
When I brought up the floor damage, Helena initially apologized and sent the invoice for the full amount, which I paid without seeking any damages, as we weren’t trying to escalate the issue. However, my husband was understandably upset after two incidents in a row, so we reached out to see how she would handle this situation. We wanted to feel reassured, especially since we’re moving to a new home with brand-new finishes and hoped for a more responsible approach in case something more serious happened in the future.
To our surprise, instead of handling the matter professionally, Helena became combative, blaming the damage on us despite the clear CCTV evidence. She resorted to name-calling and avoided any meaningful discussion or accountability.
To make matters worse, upon reviewing other footage, I discovered Helena would sit around on her phone during cleanings when we weren't home, and she’d often charge us for time spent briefing new cleaners (30-40 minutes each time) instead of cleaning.
Given these ongoing issues, I absolutely cannot recommend Clean On Limited. Helena’s unprofessionalism and lack of accountability make it impossible to trust her or her service.

We had been working with you from June. During all this period you always sent the next day reports and a list of recommendations for next cleaning session for cleaner. This above information is just little picture of Christina’s character for people who is going to read her review. Regarding your complaints: 1) Using my phone at your place instead of cleaning. I offered to you a new cleaner as your were on holiday too. You asked me to stay at your property till she completed her cleaning as it was new person. Cleaning at your place was standard as usually. Extra tasks was fridges. Likewise, you asked to water all your flowers located on each of 3 floors using you special requirements. The cleaner focused only on cleaning. Cleaner used 3.5h to clean place and 30m to clean 2 fridges. While the cleaner cleaning your place, I watered all your flowers from 3th floor to the 1st floor including gardens and front door plants. It took 1h to complete this job using you special requirements guide. After watering the plants, I was sitting at your kitchen and working with my phone while the cleaner was cleaning. I did this task without charging you as I was there asked by you to waiting till the cleaner completing her job. I sent you an invoice only for 4h and didn’t include hour spent by me to water your plants. What exactly you call overcharged, I don’t understand. Cleaning at your place always took 3.5-4h without fridges and oven. Cleaner did the same cleaning as usually did your previous cleaner. I was there more for your security purpose. My cleaner knew what to do and how to clean. I shouldn't have to stand over her head and watch her clean for 4h. I spent 04:00 of my own time being in your house just so you could feel secure that there was a new person cleaning. 2) Fridge We cleaned both of them inside and outside which you asked us to clean. ( Cleaning means here to refresh them inside). After cleaning inside, we cleaned outside their doors. It was closed when finishing. We didn’t switch off your fridge’s electricity. When the fridge’s door is left opened, it usually always sounds. We did this job the first thing before cleaning the rest of the kitchen. We also washed all clothes before leaving your house. It took 30m to wash them. No sounds from both fridges within that period expressed. It was more than an hour after we washed the refrigerators before we finished cleaning. Why it happened with your fridges, I can’t explain but with 100% confidence I can say that your refrigerators’ doors were closed. 3) Floor The cleaning was finished at 6 pm on Friday. The cleaner put the rags next to the washing machine to wash because the washing machine was busy. Something was being washed there. You were in the kitchen when the cleaner finished cleaning and you were asked where to put them. ( cleaner clarified as she was at Christina’s place for the first time as Christina’s cleaner was on holiday). You mentioned in your complaint you went somewhere for 3 days. Since the washing machine was working, I can assume that you were there till the washing machine finished and staff from it was removed. How is it that you, the person who checked everything after each cleaning and sent to me long messages with comments of cleaning done automatically on the 2nd day, noticed rags near to the washing machine only on Monday at 9 pm. I do not think that this is the cleaner's fault. All the cleaners who work with me wash the rags immediately after finishing cleaning. If the machine is busy, they leave the rags in a visible place so that the clients can wash them themselves. You haven’t send me any requested CCTV video from Friday till Monday evening. I was waiting for them more than one week before sending you a massage why I wouldn’t be able to raise an insurance claim for this issue
