Came out to a house with a vulnerable teen, to do a quote for reasonably extensive work to make the kitchen safe and accessible …… never even afforded us the courtesy of a message to say not interested in even quoting !!!! Waste of time

Thanks to Shane, James, Tudor and the rest of the team at Honeycomb Construction for an excellent job. They arrived on the day they said they would. ..and did not stop, even during a downpour on the 5th day of installation. Nothing was too much trouble. I can't recommend honeycomb enough, shane, rob, james and team have just completed our outdoor brick shed utility room conversion and the finish results have exceeded our expectations. The phrase 'Hero's don't always wear capes' couldn't be more true in respect of our situation...April 2024 we hired a local builder (turns out he wasn't qualified or experienced afterall) to open up kitchen dining room, create a large aperture at the back of the house and install 5 leaf bi-folfing doors - to say he ruined our home, cost us thousands and created unimaginable stress is an understatement - it's not everyday that the forever home that you've worked 20 years for to renovate and make it your own is classed as 'dangerous' and at risk of catastrophic collapse by your structural engineer 😩 because said builder is incompetent. I'll try and keep it short but we were unable to enter the house due to this and to say we felt utterly helpless is putting it mildly. We contacted many builders to look at the job and quote but most refused as the structural integrity of the house was compromised. We came across Honeycomb and feeling very deflated we thought the answer would be a very familiar "NO" however from the moment we messaged them via Facebook they replied the date day and agreed to call to the house and take a look the following day - we cautiously felt there may be light at the end of the tunnel! James, Shane and Rob listened to all of the defects and unlike many other builders they were receptive and positive about what could be done to correct the job and reassured us that the house could be salvaged! Obviously we were now very nervous and cautious of works being done to the house and needed to ensure the structural engineer defects report was carried out meticulously as the house was structurally unsafe. The lads came up with a plan which was within our budget, within our timescale and understood all the defects. Every single time they were due on site they were there and always with a smile 😃 They prioritised our job and ensured they completed all works to an extremely high standard. They were contactable via messenger, text, WhatsApp and phone - they always replied and kept to agreed dates/times which is rare for the building trade. They were clean, methodical and kept our costs down to an affordable level especially as they understood the amount we were out of pocket from the previous 'builder'. Above all these lads were honest and did exactly what was agreed and to an extremely high standard. Every single tradesmen on site were professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy which is quite unheard of these days as the building trade is sadly unregulated. Most of all Honeycomb were an absolute pleasure to have around, such a great bunch of lads who were great to set the world to rights with over a sausage and bacon buttie 😆 We honestly can't recommend Honeycomb Construction enough, they didn't just do building work for us, they took on an absolute nightmare of a job trying to rectify somebody else's mistakes in such an unsafe environment too. Honeycomb have given us and our three children peace of mind and the ability to move forward and make a house a home. We honestly can't thank them enough and going forward will only ever use Honeycomb in any future projects. We had a big job at Our new premises in Overton for our haulage/storage business, being the rear wall on the building needed fully rebuilding in brick and block. it needed new footings, and patchwork doing around the rest of the warehouse which they completed well within the time frame. it was a huge job and the lads got stuck in and made sure it was ready for us. Big thanks to Rob, James and Shane and all the lads for all the help provided over the past couple of months. Don't hesitate to use these guys ! More...

This fantastic group of guys came to our rescue after we were let down by our previous cowboy contractors, who had left us quids down and with a job half done! Shane, Rob, James and all the crew were able to effortlessly pick up the job where it had been left off. Totally reliable and professional attitude throughout. They worked with all due attention to detail, and a rightful pride in their completed work. Such high qualities seem to be rare among builders nowadays. James, Shane and the team did a cracking job renovating our utility room into a more functional space with downstairs toilet. Alongside being straight forward honest chaps they were always willing to do a bit extra to make the job perfect. They even sorted all the building regulation stuff too.
