Would highly recommend, very honest just had a mould problem and was advised it was just a ventilation problem thank you so much.

This company was amazing start to finish. Made me feel at ease after our builders didn’t apply DPC correctly. Cindy came out and reassured me that they would sort it and they did exactly that. Wish I'd called these guys years ago! Booked a free survey and a few days later Daisy arrived - very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about her work, which instils trust in her advice. Identified the issue within minutes and took the time to thoroughly inspect the house and recommend a logical course of action, without pushing any expensive solutions upfront. Excellent company, first class work. We had problems with damp on the chimney breast behind a log fire. They quickly identified the problem (condensation), rectified the cause, tanking on the chimney breast and an additional extractor fan, completed the work immediately and within a week. The workmen were clean and professional They even identified that the plasterer had made an error and had plasterboarded behind the fire when he should have used cement boards to comply with fire regs. Brilliant service , from start to end . We're quick to come out to see the property and give me a quote in person, even came back to answer questions in person before the start date of the work . Job has been done to a high standard , would highly recommend and I am using again for additional work I need completing on the house . Very personable and great customer service which gives them the edge along side how competitive their prices were . There's such a disparity in the market I highly advise ringing them to get a quote even if you are thinking of using else where it's worth while getting a quote , as I found them to be the most competitive out there . I would highly recommend home and dry solutions to anyone they were absolutely amazing from start to finish! 5 stars from us Daisy came quoted us extremely reasonable pricing compared to friends and family works which they've had done by other companies. The availability was cracking worked round us for our time frame as both of us work full time. The team of workmen we had could not fault them from start to finish. Each member of the team introduced themselves so it wasn't like strangers in the house. They talked me through action plan day to day and gave me updates throughout the day keeping me informed. I know plastering and damp courses can be very messy but I was very surprised to see how well they cleaned up. You wouldn't of thought we had any work done except for the all the plaster patches on show where the works had been conducted. Thank you so much for the works you have done for us. I was so pleased with the work we had done by Home and Dry. When buying, our property surveyor informed us that we would need someone to take a look at the damp. Our seller had a survey done but they came back with an extremely high quote and little explanation of why. I decided to look for an alternative solution and contacted Home and Dry because of the reviews on this page. I didn't really know what to expect but they were wonderful from the first call. Getting booked in was so easy and when Daisy came to look at our house she was wonderful. She took the time to explain everything, showing us her readings and explaining them as she walked around the house. We ended up having two new fans fitted and a small patch of wall fixing. The disruption was minimal, the work guys were really lovely too and we saved over £1,000 based on the seller's quote. I'd highly recommend Home & Dry and actually already have done to a friend who has had them round to look at her place too! More...

BUYER BEWARE

I had to record as one star otherwise you cannot post.

Initial meet from Andy was good, got back to us promptly. Agreed a date weeks in advance and everything seemed OK. Several visits to our cottage later, a hike on the original price due to the construction and two days late on starting, the contracted plasterers arrived.

They told me they had been putting the job off as they did not want to do the task using the suggested method, condradicted what Andy had told us on several issues and left. They did not speak highly of Home & Dry. I then had to ring and request a refund. This was not a small job (10k+).

I don't normally write reviews on poor performance unless I genuinely feel it is justified. The context to this is that we are moving in four weeks time, relocating 250 miles and renovating a cottage at a distance. We were given assurance that the work would be completed in the agreed timescale.

We simply have been placed in a position where we cannot possibly find another contractor in time to meet our timescale and this has a knock on affect to all other booked jobs.

Mr Edwards, we agree completely with your comments. We had recently expanded into the Plymouth area and believed that we had found the required tradesmen to carry out the work to our high standards. Unfortunately, when they arrived to do the job, they felt that they did not have the required skills to replaster a cottage of that age and non standard construction to yours or our satisfaction. As soon as we found out that we could not proceed with the job we refunded all monies paid. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

I recently bought a end of terrace. There were damp problems throughout - rising and penetrating. I got a couple of quotes and listened to different approaches. Home and Dry were friendly, non pushy and thorough in their explanation. Competitive price too. Booked in a time good for me and the workmen were professional, diligent and friendly.
