24 hours care
24-hour care at home is provided to people who are either living with complex needs who need nurse-led care, or who are living with a condition that impacts their ability to live well and need condition-led care. For generations of people our 24-hour home care offers continuous support provided by a team of carers who get to really understand your needs and are expertly trained to provide high-quality complex care or paediatric care in the comfort of your own home.
A small team of reliable carers will care for you on a rotation to ensure you get the right care, at the right time. Whilst different shift patterns are offered, most clients benefit from carers working eight or 12 hours shifts over a 24-hour period.
A range of options is offered if you need care throughout the night, including our sleep on-call service, which means a carer will sleep during the night, but is there to assist should you need them. Waking nights is offered to those who need night-time assistance, such as repositioning in bed, managing a ventilation machine or administering medications.

Hourly home help can be used to support you if you are living with a condition that impacts your ability to live independently and need condition-led care, for example:
Hourly care for dementia or Parkinson’s,
You are recovering from an illness or hospital treatment
You need help at home following a stroke.
Respite care
Respite care is the term used for short-term or temporary care and support services, that can be provided in a residential setting or in a person’s own home. Respite care allows a family carer to take a break from their usual caring duties.
According to Carers UK, there are over 6.5 million family carers caring for a loved one throughout the UK. For many, it is their choice to provide care for a loved one prior to employing a professional at-home carer. However, looking after a family member who has care and support needs can be emotionally and physically demanding, so naturally everyone will need a break at some point.
In-home respite care can allow a family carer to:
Take a much-needed holiday
Have relaxation time to ensure they are rested to care again
Honour work commitments
Maintain hobbies or social activities
Stay with friends and family
Attend an emergency or urgent situation
Respite care is a flexible care service that enables a family to understand how a home care service would work in practice to see if a permanent arrangement would be the right care choice. Respite care services can be used to support you if you are living with a condition that impacts your ability to live independently and need condition care, for example, respite care for older people with conditions such as dementia or Parkinson’s.

EXPERT PALLIATIVE CARE IN YOUR OWN HOME
We know through our experience of supporting thousands of people and their families, that are faced with the prospect of needing palliative/end-of-life care that most people would prefer to stay in the safety, comfort and familiarity of their treasured home and not endure the disruption caused from a move away.
For many a move from home can cause much upset, worry and for some confusion. Having routines imposed on how you live, leaving your loved one, feeling isolated from family and friends or your local community are all common concerns experienced by those facing a move into a care home, specialist care setting, a hospice or facing a prolonged stay in hospital.
Staying at home with the in-home palliative care or end-of-life care at home you need means that you can continue to live life your way, whilst benefiting from one-to-one care provided by a competent and compassionate carer
