Q&As

We want to positively impact our local community, clients, our CareAngels and their families.

Olympic sailor Christina Handasyde Dick (Bassadone), is the founder of Guardian Angel Carers. On hanging up her sails in 2010, she established the domestic help company, Task Angels, on a houseboat in Chichester Marina, West Sussex.

As the Task Angel family grew, a number of family friends turned to Christina looking for support for their elderly parents. For example, they needed assistance with medication, meal preparation and personal care. Christina recognised that there was a real need for a compassionate, professional, local home care company, so she founded Guardian Angel Carers in 2012. The vision was to provide companionship, tech and care, visiting, overnight and live-in care to the community of West Sussex and Hampshire.

Home Care for the elderly at home, early until late

Starting to think that you, or a family member, could do with more than domestic help? We cater for a variety of needs! Our visiting home care offers a gentle introduction to elderly care services, and because you can pick the type and hours of care you need, it won’t feel overwhelming.

Morning, noon and up to late-night , we plan our home care visits to fit your routines. You can choose part time, daily or even just hourly drop-in home care

The small hours are often the longest and can feel a struggle when you’re worried about being on your own.
Using our night time care for elderly and home care clients is a great way to wipe away those worries. Our sleep-in carers will come in each evening to join you, to offer some CareAngel company over a late-night cuppa, and a chat, plus make your home feel cosy.

You can then relax and get settled in for a sound night’s sleep, whilst your CareAngel will be in a nearby room, connected via our discrete care technology, on hand should you need support during the night. And, in the morning our sleep in carers are there for you to help get you up and ready, feeling fresh for the day ahead.

Benefits of overnight care:

- When a person needs support during the night, to provide respite and a good night’s sleep for a primary carer (whether that is a partner, family member or live in carer).

- To provide reassurance and peace of mind to a person who is feeling vulnerable and anxious about being alone overnight. This can often be the case following a fall, or hospital visit.

There are a wide range of conditions for which you may be requiring care at home (mobility, stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson, Cancer care, Diabetes care, Palliative care, Dementia, Home from hospital, Respite care, joint replacement, Multiple sclerosis…). The list below is not exhaustive, but gives an indication of the clients with whom we work, and provides additional details of the care and support we can provide.
