My experience with Growth Accountants Ltd over an 11-month period was deeply unsatisfactory. I was initially offered a discounted service and was led to believe the firm would provide tailored, communicative support as my business grew. Unfortunately, this was not the case. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent. I often had to chase for responses and was not kept informed about what work was being done or what was required from me. At one point, due to delays, I was given a free month of service. I was also encouraged to post positive reviews before any significant service had been delivered, which I found premature and inappropriate. When it came time for my first VAT filing, it was handled at the last minute, placing undue pressure on me to review and submit missing information quickly. Despite making it clear that I was unfamiliar with these processes, I was not guided through them properly. One of my biggest concerns was the lack of access to my Profit & Loss statements. I asked for this information multiple times and only at the very end was I told that it would cost extra, though this was never made clear to me beforehand. Toward the end of our engagement, after expressing dissatisfaction and suggesting I might look elsewhere, my account was abruptly terminated—without formal notice or written confirmation. I later discovered that my accounting data in QuickBooks was missing two months of entries. Attempts by my new accountant to obtain professional clearance were refused, allegedly because of this review and a separate Google review. I was also informed that the company planned to sue me—via a message sent to my new accountant before they told me directly, which I consider wholly unprofessional. In their public response to my review, Growth Accountants included my full name, business name, business address, and links to my other review accounts. I believe this to be an excessive and targeted disclosure of personal data. While others may have had better experiences, mine was defined by missed expectations, unclear communication, and a disappointing lack of professional accountability. More...

My accountant, Mo, is always on hand if I have questions, but the main thing is that I am too busy to think about all the stuff you have to do like getting your VAT ready or being organised to send the CIS paperwork into Government. I can't really fault Growth Accountants. I switched to them for the 23-34 tax year having been with another accountants for over 15 years. They (the previous accountants) had put prices up while simultaneously lowering their quality of service. Growth did the opposite. Of course the price for a year's accounting is competitive, but it's this combined with the fact that they appoint you a personal advisor accountant you can actually speak to - that's worth its weight in gold. Terrible service. Had to chase the accountant for answers on every topic, and when they reply is always wrong or the minimum. They send me all these automatic emails about topics that do not relate to me and when I follow up asking for an explanation they ignored my emails. Growth do our monthly accounts, EOY accounts and CIS submissions, all are done in time and in an orderly way, after struggling for years to find competent accounting firms Growth have definitely surpassed our expectations! Also after years of struggling with a large CIS rebate and other accountants failing to resolve the issue Growth took over and have managed to get this issue sorted within a very quick timescale and we have started to see refunds appear in our accounts. As a consultant I have been through the wringer with accounting services and ended up flummoxed, frustrated and fined by companies house. Then I contacted Growth Accountants. They set me up properly with a dedicated adviser, not a bewildering multi level spreadsheet to fill in on my own, or a series of videos i don’t have the time to watch.
