Q&As

Knowing that we are able to help people remain independent, so that they can stay in the home that they love and close to their family and friends. It is also really nice when our clients comment on how kind and generous spirited our carers are.

I began this business because many years ago I was looking after my mum and found that there was not adequate support for her to stay at home so running this business allows me to support people like her.

Because we are a kind and caring organisation and are professional in both the way we treat our clients and our carers, we want to be the place where carers choose to work rather than they feel they have to work.

No we provide a personal service by having Carers visit clients in their own home

Services

Giving you a little support with your daily activities

Personal care can help you with personal hygiene and toileting, along with dressing and maintaining your personal appearance.

Carers, can help you make sure that medication is taking at the right time and the right dosage - all our carer are trained in medication handling.

Helping you to keep your home clean and safe - our carers are happy to work with you to make sure you have everything you need.

Helping our clients to remain safe and independent is essential - assisting with mobility and working with other NHS support teams enables you to stay safe in your home.

Until recently as we reached the later stages of life, and could no longer cope at home, it may be that you would have to move, either in with family or into a residential care.

This can be a difficult time, being uprooted from familiar surroundings and regular routines and feeling like your independence is being taken away.

Live-in care allows you to stay in the comfort of your own home maintaining your independence and to continue living as normal life as possible all at a price that is usually less costly than a care home.

DID YOU KNOW ...

Stay in your home
97% would prefer to stay in their home
If people had a choice, 97% would prefer to continue living at home rather than being moved into residential care. In our homes we feel safe and secure and are surrounded by the things we love and our precious memories.

Less Depression
Better mental health outcome, 35% lower depression
Older adults are at an increased risk of experiencing depression, particularly if they have to change their routines or are forced to move. Remaining in your own home can significantly reduce the risk of depression.

Pets, possessions and routines
Having to leave a pet when going into residential care will often cause stress, anxiety and depression. These precious family members are dearly missed when they are left behind. Leaving a void that can rarely be filled.

Higher probability of getting state support
If you decide to remain in your own home rather than moving into a residential Care Home. The value of your property may not be included as an asset. Which means that it can remain as your appreciating asset. Individuals are entitled to a Needs Assessment from the Local Authority.

30% less likely to fall
Research has shown that the likelihood of a fall is 30% higher for those older adults in residential care. The likely reason for this alarming figure is the ratio of care staff to residents in residential settings. A live in carer provides 1:1 support resulting in a safer environment.

Increased mobility
Maintaining mobility and preventing disability are key to living independently as we age, weather it is a walk in your garden, a trip to see friends or going shopping, a Live in Carer can support you to remain mobile and independent

We help you remain in your own home, arranging care around your established routines, keeping disruption to a minimum. With the support of a care professional, you may be able to get out and about again – go shopping, attend social clubs and meet up with friends.

It takes a high level of trust to allow someone to care for you in your home – which is why we are thorough in undertaking checks on all care professionals. Right at the outset, you and your loved ones will be introduced to your care provider, so you can get to know one another. All our care professionals carry an identity card, and they will always knock on your door to announce their arrival. We take security issues, such as protecting key safe codes, very seriously, so your security will never be breached.
