Good companions care agency provide a cleaning service for myself, they’re really thorough and so nice to come home after a day at work to clean bed sheets, laundry ironed and a tidy home! Even when I was working from home they did an amazing job and didn’t disturb me! Good companions made my mother’s last month comfortable and reassured us all as a family, the home carers we’re all so kind and enabled us to keep my mother’s wishes of passing at home, without good companions this may not have been possible. Good Companions have been a great help to my mum and family since the very start and continue to do so. From the first enquiry they were able to advise what care would be best for my mum.
We use the Good Companions for respite care and without doubt they always make sure they can he;p rovide a carer for the time we need.

Why should our clients choose you?
If you are an older person or have a physical disability, learning disability or mental health needs, our dedicated home care staff may be able to support you with daily activities such as getting in and out of bed, getting dressed and all aspects of personal care. We can also help with daily living or domestic tasks like laundry, shopping, and some meal preparation.
For those with additional needs, specially trained staff are available. If you are frail, have been ill, or have just
come out of hospital, you may benefit from short–term home care support. Home care services can be provided by our domiciliary team and paid for using personal budgets. The amount of care you receive weekly will depend on your assessed needs.
All our staff team must be specially trained in areas such as manual handling, first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding and dementia care. All staff have 2 references and background checks with the disclosure and barring service (DBS) prior to commencement of employment with Good Companions.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As I write this, we are still in the midst of COVID-19 and I would personally like to thank all my fantastic managers
and carers for their relentless hard work. I am happy to report all our carers have had full PPE (personal protection equipment) provided from the very start of this pandemic. All our staff, managers and clients are fully vaccinated also.

Residential Care Home
Criffel Suite
This is our residential care facility that can accommodate 22 ladies and gentlemen. With a furnished patio area, attractive flower beds, delightful paved area and wheelchair accessible pathways. We provide a comfortable, safe and secure environment that allows our residents as much independence as possible.
Solway Suite
This is our purpose designed dementia unit. This is all ground floor with garden access. We can accommodate 16 ladies and gentlemen. There are specially designed dementia friendly gardens, front and rear, that provide
a safe and secure environment and allow all of our residents to fulfil their lives. We maintain the highest standards of care and hygiene, and our highly trained staff are specially trained for our dementia friendly environment.
Housekeeping for Elderly
Your housekeeping services are managed by your local Good Companions branch. A clean house always feels welcoming and comfortable, and our services can help to make this happen. Our assistants will be able to carry out many tasks such as washing dishes, vacuuming both carpeted and wooden flooring, cleaning bathrooms, appliance cleaning and even dusting.
