Our previous garden was dreadful and however long we spent working on it, it never looked any better. We wanted an outdoor room that would mature and which required minimal maintenance and somewhere we could relax. Joanne paid several visits, listened to the sort of things we wanted in it and offered several suggestions that she thought would suit. We settled on a beautiful plan, including what we wanted and some suggestions of hers. We worked with Jo at Garden Blueprints to entirely reconstruct our neglected garden after losing our dogs. It was a great process providing the benefit of superior knowledge, experience and ideas that also saved us an enormous amount of time we would otherwise have spent trying to decide what our garden should include to work for us. Jo made several visits and our trust in her plan has really paid off now that the landscaping is finished and she has been back to plant up. What a fabulous result even as we move from Autumn to Winter with porcelain low maintenance paving, an area for our storage and bins and wonderful combination of plants and other garden features to share colour and interest in every season. Having plans from Garden Blueprints really improved communication with the contractor so the spec couldn't be misunderstood or corners cut. We can't recommend them enough. More...

What do you love most about your job?
I love working with my clients to develop a design with them that encompasses their requirements to give them an imaginative design. I love the creative side of my business.
I also enjoy passing on my passion for plants and helping my clients to get the best plants suitable for their garden and lifestyle. I pass on my enthusiasm for gardens, plants and gardening to encourage them to take an interest in their new garden.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve always loved being in a garden and being close to nature. I wanted to have a job that combined my love of drawing and being creative with helping people. I wanted to pass on my passion for beautiful plants.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I abide by current government guidelines. I has risk assessed my business and will always provide a safe environment for clients and myself. My current risk assessment is updated regularly and we adapt our working practises to abide by regulations.

Garden Design service
We provide a bespoke garden design service throughout the Midlands. We liaise closely with trusted landscapers to ensure the designs are built to our standard. We give excellent customer service as our customers are the most important part of our business.
To ensure we offer the highest customer service we will have a lead-in time. This is normally around 4 months so please contact us if you are happy with this.
Design and planting consultations
We offer design consultations on an hourly and daily basis. We charge £37.00 per hour + travelling time to give advice on how you could make improvements to your garden.
For new build gardens we offer Day consultations to complete a sketch design if the garden is small and empty. This will appeal to first time buyers. The plan can then either be given to a landscaper or left with the clients to undertake the work themselves.
The consultations can also cover planting such as renovating borders, giving advice on maintenance.
