Steve [Form:Form Architects] undertook the commission in a professional and constructive manner The commission was to provide options for remodelling the ground floor of our Edwardian Home together with a sizable extension to replace the existing kitchen. Steve put forward a contemporary solution which enhanced the existing property and integrated the interior and exterior spaces. In addition to the initial Design, Steve took the scheme forward to prepare working drawings, obtaining competitive tenders from a short list of suitable local contractors and oversaw the project on site. It was one of the best decisions that I have ever made & was so fortunate to discover him. Tom is an outstanding person whom I always found to be very professional,calm,reliable & very punctual. It was always a pleasure to meet with him to discuss & exchange ideas. Tom was always approachable & reachable via email & telephone. As an Architect, he was exceptionally innovative & creative. Very keen & interested to blend the old cottage style with the contemporary, which was what we very much wanted. We employed form:form after interviewing three different architects. Our project was to take down the tiny kitchen and dining room of our Victorian mid-terrace town house and use the resulting space along with the side return to create a large kitchen and living space.
We chose Steve because he clearly understood that we wanted a project that would combine a creative and imaginative approach with new but not untested building materials and methods. We were also keen to get value for money. The final build has come in at the lower end of the price range listed below.
From the start Steve showed that he was on top of the job. In particular he listened very carefully to our ideas and provided us with a number of design solutions. From there he was happy to modify and change ideas in discussion with our ideas. As a professional architect he was able to realise our vision but also to add solutions that only an expert would have considered.
Plans were drawn up quickly and efficiently. Steve offered us a variety of follow up support packages and although we only bought minimal support from him he was prepared to keep involved. The build turned out to be problematic due to builder based issues that were nothing to do with Steve. He could have left us to it but to his great credit he kept himself involved and played a decisive part in moving the project to completion.
We think that we have got a cutting edge design that will have a really positive affect on our lives for some time to come. This in large part is down to Steve at form:form.

Our studio's normal preference is to come out and visit you, chat through your requirements and see the project at first hand .....this initial visit and meeting is important to be able to understand your desires and requirements of not only the proposed intent of the finished project but of our level of service so we can provide you with a scope and fee to reflect this. Although we understand that sometimes the preference or convenience to the client is to do things remotely via Teams/Zoom, we can accommodate this in the form of on-going design progress online meetings.
