What do you love most about your job?
I am passionate about supporting people and helping them to move forwards in their lives.
I feel incredibly privileged to have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most courageous and resilient people, and be part of their journeys as they seek to better understand their experiences and start to build more fulfilling lives and create healthy, meaningful relationships with themselves and others.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I believe in providing psychotherapy services that are tailored to each individuals needs.
When I first started as a therapist I quickly realised that setting a deadline of a few weeks was unrealistic for most people to make the progress and achieving the healing that they were wanting. In most services, we were unfortunately limited by funding and capacity which means that time-limited therapy is the norm.
I wanted to be able to offer a service that wasn't limited to service demands and instead could focus solely on providing the best treatment plan to the client at their pace. After 7 years of the increasing pressures in the NHS and the ever extending waitlists, I felt it was time for a change.
I now specialize in helping individuals achieve a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, utilising my knowledge of different therapeutic approaches and working at my clients pace to achieve long-lasting change.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am dedicated to ensuring that my clients get the support they need and am passionate about people receiving the most beneficial and appropriate care. Building a therapeutic relationship requires a large amount of trust and it is important that you feel in control of the process.
I offer free initial consultations for this purpose, with no obligation to continue with me after. If you have any questions regarding therapy or would like to discuss what support you need to meet your goals, I am here to listen and share my knowledge to ensure to get the help you are looking for.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I offer online therapy services exclusively.
There can be many advantages to choosing online therapy but it is important to consider if this is the right choice for you. Here are some important things to think about when deciding on what kind of therapy would be most useful for you:
Convenience and flexibility: online therapy means that you can , access your therapy from anywhere with an internet connection. You don't have to worry about travel times, parking or waiting rooms. If you work away from home, this means you won't have to miss your therapy and won't have to negotiate too much extra time away with your employer. However, this also means that extra consideration needs to be taken in giving yourself the space and recovery time required after a difficult therapy session. You may not want to discuss some subjects in your home and safe space - this will be an important conversation to have when you first start your therapy journey and we can think together how to create that distance and separation at the end of a session.
More choice: therapy is built on trust and a secure therapeutic relationship. Choosing online therapy gives you access to more clinicians and a better chance to find the right fit for you. If you would like to chat about whether that might be here or to get a better idea of what you want from a therapist I'm happy to have that discussion with you so that you can feel like you're in safe hands. Book an initial consultation meeting and we can see if we can understand what it is that might be the most helpful path for you.
Physical limitations? Don't let your health get in the way of accessing the support you need. Online therapy means that anyone with physical limitations, whether this is due to disability, chronic illness or even a broken leg you can still access your therapy without worrying about navigating inaccessible places or forcing yourself to endure unnecessary pain when your body requires rest.
