How long have you been in business?
Our company has 2 business partners. The operational role is covered by John Suani, who has over 10 years of experience. Admin and management of everything aside from operational is covered by Gisele Makaba, who has various skills and experience coordinating and administrating routine tasks. The company has been recently registered a few months ago.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
Yes, we do bring the appropriate equipment according to the customer's quote. Furthermore, we also help our customers order their stock on their request.
What do you love most about your job?
The outcome and comment of a happy customer based on transforming an unclean living area into a clean one. We emphasised the following points that we consider to be the most important part that we enjoyed about our job.
Producing quality work, which consists of having a clean and organised space, house and office from a clutterer, saving customer’s time, to concentrate on other important things that bring efficiency to their work.
Like the name ‘Fab Cleaners4U’, emphasised its origin from our employees; we make sure that we are a big and important asset for our customer’s necessity. This means, that our cleaners are physically active since this can be seen as a very physical job that is beneficial to our health and mental well-being. All managers also fold their sleeves when it comes to cleaning – there are no hands that do not bear the intention of ameliorating the environment.
A cluttered or messy area can result in unnecessary stress and decreased productivity and might result in procrastination which leads to unfinished business that late on brings a business down. However, clean and organised surroundings bring clarity of thought. A clean space, home or office also reflects how careful the owner and staff are. Furthermore, maintaining and keeping the area clean which is also consists of removing unnecessary things and organising these in a way of improving the surrounding's productivity.

What inspired you to start your own business?
Our business is owned by two directors. Both of us have the experience required to set up a company. One director holds a business administration degree with a variety of experience working closely with managers in different sectors including the health sector organisation; this has enabled the transfer of different skills that are needed in the cleaning industry (such as Health and Safety, the use of PPE, COSH, assessment of risk, dealing with stakeholders) and knowledge to our organisation.
The second director that covers the operational roles has been working closely with business owners; involving dealing with contracts from the beginning to the end of the process, including the assistance of client contract signing, daily tasks and dealing with complaints.
With about 17 years of experience working closely with managers as well as business owners within the cleaning industry, I have been able to deal with different contracts, and complaints, which allowed me to see its ins and outs. Based on these practices, we believe in reproducing a high industrial standard as well as ascending a level further by creating a business that will serve our customers in the market.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we bear in mind we are not just at work but on the front lines, therefore we’ve done much more than cleaning and established a line of defence against the transmission of an airborne virus. We put in place a higher standard of cleaning good cleaning practices while taking into consideration our primary responsibility for our team’s performance and overall safety of our service’s users and other stakeholders; Consisting of controlling equipment, ensuring they are prepared before the day of cleaning, as well as the care and efficiency of the work they are doing. The main objective is to keep the whole team as well as clients safe from infection and prevent the spread by removing the virus or mitigating its expansion with the use of disinfectant.
Furthermore, we have been providing our clients with a certified COVID-19 disinfection and sanitisation fogging service for all areas of their facilities. Using a British Standard recognised cleaning agent called ViroKill in our fogging machines, we reduced the risk of contamination alongside a regularly scheduled service, paired with providing an emergency call-out fogging service within a 2-hour notice.
In addition, we use social distancing to entirely break the viral chain of infection, and this is a good practice to nullify the spread of the virus.
