What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people to help build their dreams. When someone is looking at opening a venue, I get to help them bring it to life. When people are struggling with their businesses that they have created themselves, I get to help them keep it and hopefully ignite their passion for the project again. As for training and development, its about helping people reach their goals. Every project I take on is different because my work is people orientated, and no two people are a like. Every day is something new.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was working for a big company that would move me from venue to venue to turn them around and make them work better. I found when everything was working smoothly, systems and marketing were in place, I would look for my next challenge. Often I would be training up my managers to take over from me so that I could be moved to another project. I thought I would be able to help more businesses if I wasn't confined to one company, so I started my own and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

But we also know what a venue and you, are capable of. We always have a conversation about requirements and will do an initial consultation first to see how we can help you. We provide online eLearning Junior Management courses, and mentoring and coaching session on line. However for venue openings and business turn arounds we need to visit your site.
Mentoring or Coaching Sessions
Eureka Ventures provides one-to-one mentoring sessions to help managers and business owners.
We help you to develop both your skills and your business. Sessions are normally 1 hour long. During the sessions we help you delve into your business, and give you tools and ideas to help with both current situation and any similar future ones you may encounter.

eLearning Management course.
We have developed a Junior Management Development course. It runs through a number of 'soft skills' that are often overlooked when we promote people into their first supervisor or management positions.
It covers skills such as

- dealing with customers,
- motivating staff,
- disciplining staff,
- finance and the PnL,

and a number of different skill sets.

Mystery Shoppers
Mystery Shoppers are a great way to check the consistency of both the products and the level of service your venue provides your customers. Often staff behave one way when you are there and a different way when you are not. Our mystery shoppers are trained in what to look for and how to analyse your staff's service. We have a standardised template for marking, but also provide specific commentary with each visit, so you can check progress and compare reports.
