Positive Input Ventilation (PIV)
Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) systems provide whole-house ventilation, creating a healthier living environment by continuously supplying filtered air throughout the property.
Ventilation plays a key role in controlling indoor air quality by diluting and displacing indoor pollutants. It can also help with thermal comfort and dehumidification.
PIV systems work by encouraging the movement of air from inside to outside, typically through a unit installed in the loft. These systems help reduce condensation and mould by replacing humid, stagnant air with fresh, filtered air.
Condensation Control
Adequate ventilation is the best way to reduce condensation. When air is moving around the house, there is less time for moisture to condense on surfaces which will help to reduce damp. Fitting extractor fans in wet rooms such as kitchens and bathrooms is one of the most effective steps you can take to reduce condensation.
Whole house ventilation systems are also available which work throughout your entire home rather than in selected rooms. These are much more effective overall at tackling condensation.
Mould Remediation
The only effective long-term way of reducing mould problems is by reducing the build-up of moisture in your home. This can only be achieved through better ventilation. A dehumidifier can remove some moisture, but it not as effective at controlling hihg levels of water vapour in the air in bathrooms or kitchens and can significantly increase energy bills.
EnviroVent has a range of whole-house ventilation systems designed to reduce condensation and mould problems. The units work by delivering filtered air into the property, gently ventilating it, leaving you with a pleasant indoor environment all year round.
