What do you love most about your job?
I am one of the lucky people, my job is my hobby. I have always been interested in technology and moreover how technology can assist in day to day life. Being in a position where I can help develop technology to solve problems or to make better use of time or resources really excites me. Many products that I have worked on during my career are hidden away with few people knowing of their existence. I really enjoy gaining a glimpse of a product that my team has developed in the real-world. I love my job.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Since a really young age I was interested in design and manufacture. I was asked at the age of 14 to develop a dashboard for a kit car club – this was really the start of the business, it was my first commission. By the age of 21 the business was founded and ran alongside employment, it was just a vehicle to do what I love. My last 'pay cheque' was in 1993 and I have never looked back.
