Chart Construction were professional in their approach, they went through each room that needed to be painted with me. They drew up a plan and gave me a quote and stuck to their plan. They put in extra hours to enable them to finish within the time frame. They were friendly, cleaned up after themselves and generally took a good interest in what they were doing. How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Measure the head height. The minimum height you need for a loft conversion is 2.2 metres and you can easily measure this yourself. Run a tape measure from the floor to the ceiling at the tallest part of the room. If it's 2.2 metres or more, your loft should be tall enough to convert

Step 2: An architect or surveyor confirms suitability.
Step 3: Plans are made.
Step 4: the loft is cleared. .
Step 5: rewiring is assessed.

We're a fresh face based in Portsmouth, however the business is formed by four friends who have all had significant experience in the construction management and the delivery of projects.

Our builder's warranty offers homeowners and buyers peace of mind for ten years. Otherwise known as a structural warranty, this type of insurance ensures that any defects that are found, even several years after construction, will be fixed as a matter of urgency.
What do you love most about your job?
For us, it's really simple.
It's the end of the project and when you can see the customer's face, this is by far the most rewarding part.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As mentioned previously, the business was founded by four long term friends who have worked together for other businesses

Thomas - former company director of a plastering and rendering businesses of 5 years which serviced hampshire and surrounding areas.
Ashley - Former company director of a large building company based in Portsmouth.

This is something we do quite often when quoting, It's important to move with the times and although we'd always prefer to make a site visit, with our decorating division being national it's not always feasible to attend, so it's become a regular occurrence we quote to specifications and dimensions.
