Rosie has been an absolute gem, I’m not sure what me and my mum would have done without her,she is truly someone who cares not just because “it’s her job” but you can tell she does everything with her heart. She had been so helpful with my grandad coming to see him in hospital, sorting out things for him. Me and my mum live in London so it’s hard for us to come up and look after him, Rosie ensured us he will be taken care of, rearranging his carers to come around at certain times, to meet his needs, informing us and helping us out with things to get my grandad the right care for him. I have worked for caremark for the last 8 months and honestly cannot fault them! Working within the care sector for last 12 years, I have worked for a few companies but felt like just a number. . At caremark it feels like a family, everyone is super supportive and friendly. The management team have gone above and beyond changing my hours to suit my home/work life balance. We love making people smile. Our goal is to brighten the day of every person we meet, whether that is you, your loved one, our care assistants or a fellow professional.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Paul, our director, has developed his career in care after completing a degree at the London School of Economics in 1995. After gaining a foundation in delivering care he began managing care and support services in 2002, and has done so ever since. Prior to taking ownership of Caremark Harrogate, Paul was employed by Caremark as the regional support manager for the north of England. This gave Paul an insight into what sets Caremark apart from other care and support providers, and how to develop Caremark Harrogate into a leading care service.

Our care and support services are provided when we visit people in their own homes. Whilst we can keep in touch with people on the phone and video calls, we need to be able to visit in person.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We follow all government guidance as it gets updated.
Companionship
Our care assistants will visit to make sure you are safe, comfortable and engaged.
Domestic support
Our care assistants will visit to complete domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry and helping you care for your pets.
Shopping
We can accompany you when you go to the shops or do your shopping for you.
Assistance with meals
Care assistants can help you prepare a meal or wash-up afterwards.
If you need help or encouragement feeding yourself, we can assist.
Help with medication
This service can include liaising with your GP surgery for repewat prescriptions, picking up medicines from the pharmacy, helping you take the right medicines at the right times and returning unused medicines.
Help with washing and dressing
We can help you wash and dress safely, to make sure you feel fresh, clean and comfortable.
If needed, this may include support with managing the toilet too.
Help getting out and about
If you want to socialise but can't get out on your own, we can help.
We can accompany you to appointments, social activities, family gatherings and even on holiday.
Respite care
Sometimes you may be unable to care for your loved one, perhaps when you're on holiday. We can be there, in your stead, to care for your loved one and give you peace of mind.
Overnight care
If you want the peace of mind of knowing that someone is available during the night, in case you need them, we can stay with you and either remain awake at your side, close by or asleep in another room.
Live in care
If you would like to know that a care assistant is on hand, in your home, like one of the family, then live in care may be the best option for you.
