Cardea Northampton has been assisting my husband who has dementia now for the past 6 months. They get him up, washed and breakfasted 6 days a week. This enables me to have peaceful mornings and for both of us to be ready on the days we go out. The care has been consistent with Harrison and Olu coming and Timi filling in any time they are not available. All 3 are kind, considerate and willing to do any extra I may need. At the end of our first week with Cardea I am very satisfied. Timi promised we would have a male carer 6 days a week and that it would be the same person as far as possible.
That has happened. Sam is delightful and very helpful looking after my husband each morning. It makes my life much easier and less stressful.
On the one day Sam could not come as his car had to be repaired, Timi contacted me the day before and arranged for Olu to come. He was also good.
My experience with Cardea is so different from that I had a few years ago with my mothers carers from a different company.
I recommend Cardea.

The heart-felt joy of satisfaction that genuine care brings to peoples' lives is both a personal motivation and reward.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Coming from a family of carers, and having undergone relevant trainings and related work experience in nursing, public health, nutrition and regulatory science bring the conviction to start own care business.
Why should our clients choose you?
Our clients will be comfortable in the knowledge that they are in a service being managed by one who is not only a qualified trained nurse (and is on the NMC register), but also one with extensive working experience in the pharmaceutical regulatory affairs industry (with close understanding of the care regulatory aspects, including the CQC, CIS, HIW and RQIA), along with well-grounded public health and nutrition science. I have strong conviction in bringing all these to work with clients and their families in ensuring that clients are in the centre of care plans and operations.

Care is predominantly a contact service and some light advice or initial assessments may be carried out online, subject to limitations of available technology. We would prefer direct contact in most cases.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We continually monitor and update our standard operating procedure to reflect the latest scientific findings and governmental guidelines. We couple this with periodic trainings for all staff in the appropriate and correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) so clients and staff can keep safe.
