I recently moved to London and if anybody knows then they know how harrowing of a experience looking for accommodation can be. I went to a couple of places and it was depressing. Capital Rooms was the exception and that is why I selected a room with them. I love my en-suite room and the kitchen is shared but it's in a very good condition (I saw some horror shows) and a cleaner comes every 2 weeks. Beyond that, the experience was streamlined and professional in terms of signing the lease. Harry, who showed me the property, was very kind and helpful throughout the process. The room, the set up and the service makes me feel very lucky. We live in a world where the big corporations are facilitating these services however if you want the perks of that with a personal touch then this is the agency to go for. More...

I didn’t think I’d ever get excited about a letting agent, but here we are. Harry is basically the opposite of every high street agent I’ve ever dealt with. No suits. No jargon. I viewed a place on Tuesday afternoon and was able to get all the paperwork done & move in on Saturday morning in no small part due to Harry’s great communication & professionalism, even working late to ensure I could move in on time.

What do you love most about your job?
I must mention tenants first. Providing them with a relaxing and stress free home is a great feeling. Almost as good as receiving christmas presents from them! It's also rare to hear agents described positively from the tenants perspective too.
When it comes to landlords, I like the feeling I get when they know they are in safe hands. It's a great feeling being able to help them by giving them the freedom both mentally and financially to pursue their ambitions.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to do things more efficiently than the previous property companies I worked for. I wanted to offer landlords a personable service with their agent, too many times I overheard colleagues picking up the phone and not knowing who the landlord was. That is something you often find in large estate agencies and it's not what I would want if I was a customer.
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe in the value of a 1 to 1 relationship with my clients, I'm on the ground everyday in and out of my landlords properties overseeing their investments. Some landlords I speak to everyday, others I haven't heard from in over a month! For these landlords everything is working perfectly and they are off enjoying their lives. All they have to do every month is open their statement and watch the money flow in every month.
