How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Ensure the appropriate head clearance is already situated. Look at the floor plan to allow a space for a stair case to be installed.
Typically, a traditional hand cut roof is easier to convert.
Make sure before considering a loft conversion that you are not located in an area that is restricted by conservation, this will impact the likelyhood of being accepted for planning.
