We feel very lucky to have found James . He removed and replaced a pergola and decking as well as improved my elderly mother’s garden layout. James’s suggestions were always practical and in line with her budget. Despite the appalling weather, James was really reliable and hardworking and any mess was regularly cleaned up. James and team really helped us out fitting us in to replace a flat roof which was old and leaking which had caused some internal damage too. Initial assessment done and then a quick appointment, offering to come on the weekend if needed to fix our issue. The team were polite, explained what they were recommending and why. They were quick on the job, but clearly doing a quality job and some extra effort to tidy up inside where the internal ceiling had been damaged. James was referred to us by a friend, and came over within 24 hours to quote. Not only was his price lower than the competition, his no-nonsense approach to detailing the work was refreshing. In the end, his estimate of six or seven days was bang on the money, and we could not be more happy with the end result. His team were friendly, knowledgeable and diligent, never taking the easy route when they encountered an issue, and always taking the time to explain the process. James also dealt with the council inspectors on our behalf, which took another potential source of stress out of the equation. We had a brand new patio complete with sleepers installed in our back garden. The work carried out was at a very high standard and it’s truly transformed the space.

Tiled roof circa 1907 in conservation area needed substantial repairs with lead flashing. Much work needed on decomposing cement and chimney brickwork and replacing chimneys that had been improperly removed way back in the past and had not been properly covered. James provided photographic evidence, clear estimates of work and a schedule that included scaffolding provided by an excellent scaffolder. At conclusion of work, scaffolding removed within two days.
