I don't charge a fee and receive almost all my mortgage enquiries as a result of referrals from satisfied customers.
Dorset Mortgage Group understands that individual circumstances may have been changed over the last few years with credit profiles not being quite as perfect as they used to be.

What do you love most about your job?
Thats an easy one for me. I have been working within financial services since 1982 so have seen lots of change, mostly for the better. In that time I have helped my clients to own their homes and pay for them in the most affordable and responsible way. Equally important is to make sure they can remain in their homes if anything goes wrong. Making sure the mortgage is repaid if my client dies or suffers a serious illness is such an important aspect of my role. There is nothing more satisfying to know that if I get a call from a client to say they can't work due to ill health that I know I've done everything I can to make sure the bills are paid.
What inspired you to start your own business?
No great story to this. I was made redundant from a former role as a training manager for a mortgage network so rather than look for another employed role I decided to take up a self employed role and to be my own boss.
I've trained so many others to do the role so thought I would do it myself. A great decision and so rewarding.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have extensive knowledge of the mortgage market and with a history of providing high levels of service your clients can't go wrong. I also don't charge a fee so only get paid from the lender/insurance provider once I have successfully raised the funds that my clients require. With this your clients have the confidence that I will do everything possible to find the appropriate mortgage for them.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes I can provide my service online or if appropriate face to face. It is rare nowadays to conduct face to face meetings due to the pandemic but they can be arranged if government guidance permits.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
More remote working, using zoom meetings and when able to meet face to face do lateral flow tests to ensure free of covid. I am fully vaccinated and boosted too.
Mortgages
I arrange residential and Buy to Let mortgages.
This is for individual and portfolio/limited company requirements.
In addition I can refer for bridging/commercial loans if necessary to complete a purchase
Insurance products
For me its key that a client of mine can afford their mortgage now but also if things go wrong.
I can advise and arrange life insurance, critical illness/serious illness insurance and Income protection insurance if unable to work due to sickness or accident.
Buildings and contents insurance
I can arrange competitive cover for buildings and contents whether it be on residential or commercial premises.
