Sam is a highly experienced personal trainer and has a wealth of knowledge. I had never used a personal trainer before and was pleasantly shocked with the results, both to my physique and endurance.
I started off the program with little to no endurance and reduced strength after suffering from long covid, however through the structured sessions, I improved significantly and even beat my personal best in deadlifts. As a result, I have more energy throughout the day and am less quickly fatigued. From going from a person that had to take daily naps of 1-2 hours in order to function, I am now able to hit the gym at 6am, go to work and still have energy for family time and other activities.
Sam provided me with a nutrition plan and explained the science behind the workout regime and routines. He performed regular checks on me and still is to this day, even after I have finished the program! I would highly recommend Sam!

My entire experience with Sam and the Blackswan Team was life-changing!
I had decided in January that I would finally go out and achieve my fitness goals. My problem was that I didn't know where to start, and I was always worried in the gym if I was doing the right thing and following the right plan.
Enter Sam. From our first introductory session, we sat down and had a long conversation about what I wanted to achieve and whether it was realistic. From then on, I trained with Sam for the 3 months. He built me a personalised plan and supported me the entire way, making sure I understood the principles of what we were doing. He helped me get my diet on track and make sure that I fell in love with the experience of getting into shape.
I loved it so much that I stayed on for another 3 months afterwards.
Now I am on my own, following a plan, following a diet, and exercise has become my favourite part of my day.
Black Swan isn't just about a quick fix; it's an entire process to change your mentality and build long-lasting, healthy habits that you can take with you.

Brother Sam, elevated my training by focusing on mind muscle connection and making every rep counts + ensuring I have correct form in doing the big compound lifts (deadlifts, bent over row, squats, overhead press, bench press & pull ups) and training the abs like any other muscle along with HiiT Cardio.

I have done just over 8 weeks with Sam. He was very kind, friendly, motivating and enthusiastic about his work! He created me a bespoke meal plan and taught me all things nutrition related. Sam's motto is 'mind, body and connection' and we both gauged well during sessions using this approach and he adapted well to my needs at all times. I am happy to say that with Sam's help I have lost over 12+kg in weight. For me it wasn't just the weight loss which was the main goal but it was actually becoming confident with the gym as it can be a daunting experience for most at the start. Having Sam there with me has motivated me in my gym journey which will be life long! Sam does not participate in quick weight loss programs, which is what I appreciate. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
Whilst Fitness is a science, it is also a fact that every person is unique with unique biomechanics. The science has to be tailored and crafted to fit individuals goals, objectives, challenges. Before taking on any clients, I will meet them for a taster session, where they get to experience our training methods directly and I have an opportunity to discuss and analyse their objectives and needs. I know that I may not be the right PT for all everyone, thus if I feel that the case, I will advise the client accordingly.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
There is a lot of truth in the saying "you are what you eat". A balanced nutrition with correct macros counts for 80% of a dream body goal. All our trainees are required to follow the meal plan that is tailored to their individual goals.
What do you love most about your job?
It's not a job! This is my passion and obsession, it's my only vice! I am my most happiest when I am in the gym, training or training a client. The most rewarding part of training a client, is seeing their reaction and joy and pain in reaction to when something connect, be it a exercise, movement or a hitting a new PR.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been training since the age of 12, young and stupid, I would hit the gym regularly, made every single mistake possible. In those days, we didn't have YouTube influencer, just Flex magazine. Hindsight is 20/20, and thinking back I thought how much more success I would have had in my development, if I had someone to learn from.
