What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
For me, the secret of taking a great photo is a nuanced one. It involves lots of hard, hard graft to practice the craft.
It's important to learn about other photographers, and what has come before you. Lose yourself in their work. Get out on the street. Practice, practice, practice.
Don't be afraid to keep learning.
Perhaps most importantly, enjoy it. If you do what you love, the work will get there eventually.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
1) What are you trying to achieve with this project?
2) How many photographs are you after at the end of the shoot?
3) What is the deadline for the work?
4) What is your lighting preference - are you OK using natural light or would you like a studio setting with artificial light?
5) Do you have any examples of other work that we could look at and discuss together?
What do you love most about your job?
Firstly, I love that it allows me to create, and have fun. I yearn to be creative, and I adore getting lost in the work and making something really good.
Secondly, I love to collaborate. The work I do is a two-way process and tends to involve people. The subtle interactions, and the interplay between photographer and subject, is fantastic to be a part of.
Lastly, the satisfcation of handing the project over when it's done and getting a happy person at the end. So rewarding!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am at my core a creative person. I've tried working in a corporate environment and it simply doesn't suit me. I need to make work - visual work. I just love it.
Eventually I had to set up my own business and run with it. So that's what I'm doing, and I love every minute.
Why should our clients choose you?
Choose me because I'm a passionate human being. I care about what I do, and I want to do a good job.
I want to make great work - work that will light you up when you look at it - but also work that satisfies the brief. Whether you're commissioning me to do an intimate portrait shoot or to document a property, it's crucial that the work I create hits the nail on the head with regard to the brief, and I will go out of my way to ensure that happens,
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I would be prepared to offer my services remotely, and I think the most effectuve way to do this would be to offer photo lessons via video call.
When it comes to actually shooting however, I think this is best done in person. it is hard to replicate the quality and experience of a real life photo shoot with other human beings to collaborate with and vibe with.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have worn masks to shoots when needed, and I carry a hand cleaning solution that can be used my me or my customers whenever needed.
I am also able to keep a safe distance from my subjects and can plan shoots accordingly.
Portraiture and head shot photography
A two hour shoot, for which I will work with you to get some outstanding imagery for your portfolio.
I am super flexible, and open to using different styles. These vary from highly experimental to corporate. I tend to use natural light, with just a reflector to direct the light if required. I like to use open spaces and work with backgrounds and lighting sources in the real world rather than a studio, as I find this brings inspiration and freshness to the work.

Property photos and floor plans
I am an experienced property photographer, having worked in Islington, Hackney and Harringay.
I am also a RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) certified property measurer, and can provide bespoke floorplans as part of the service.
I can also offer property staging via CGI for empty flats.

I offer a documentary-style fashion photography package, using natural light out in the real world rather than in a studio. I find this brings a freshness and inspiration to the projects I work on.

Wedding photography
I simply love shooting weddings and have done a variety of them in the UK and overseas!
My natural style is documentary / reportage - ad hoc, with minimal flash. But this can be tailored to suit your needs. My aim is to get fantastic images for the couple on their big day.
I have a variety of packages available, from a simple ceremony shoot to a full day following the bride and groom, and I can supply a printed wedding album if required also, lazer printed on the highest quality paper.
