Avoid Scott Taylor like the plague. Started by charging me a 15% deposit, and subsequent early invoices seemed very high, which I did question, but he told me the early stages of the work were the more expensive. Either way, as I was now paid ahead, I was caught in his trap. He assured me in writing that the job would be completed for the agreed price. Eventually I paid him 97% of the money, for half the job. On top of this, some of his work is defective and will need redoing. This was all for his previous company, Modern Construction Services. I later found out that he was in talks with liquidators for months whilst still working on my project, and now he's set up this company Beau Raine Group Ltd. I still don't know at his stage how much I'm out of pocket because of Scott, but it will easily be a 5 figure amount. More...

Scott Taylor is a Con Man – Do Not Trust Him
Scott Taylor is not to be trusted. He liquidated his company, Modern Construction Services, leaving people out of pocket for over £160,000.
He takes on projects, delivers shoddy workmanship, ignores complaints, and then walks away without paying what he owes—only to shut down his company and start over again. His pattern of behavior is clear: he avoids responsibility and leaves clients and suppliers to deal with the mess he creates.

Do not be his next victim. Stay far away

Avoid Scott Taylor – Unreliable and Costly Experience

I strongly advise against working with Scott Taylor. He previously operated Modern Construction Services, which he liquidated, leaving me with over £9,000 in losses due to substandard workmanship that failed to meet building regulations.

Throughout the project, there were persistent issues with poor-quality work, delays, and lack of accountability. Despite raising concerns multiple times, critical defects remained unresolved, ultimately requiring additional costs to rectify. When faced with these issues, rather than taking responsibility, Scott dissolved his company, avoiding any financial or professional accountability.

If you're considering hiring him for any construction-related work, be warned—his track record speaks for itself. Stay clear unless you’re prepared to deal with potential financial and regulatory headaches.

This is a company set up the day after the sole director informed us of his intention to put his other company (Modern Construction Services) into liquidation, having taken £8k over the value of the work he had completed from us. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN.
