What do you love most about your job?
The Bads like pleasing people - we always get a buzz from the audience laughing, dancing and generally having a good time. We are having a good time on stage - we never just "go through the motions" - and so we like to share that with the audience. We try hard to involve the audience in the show, without of course causing embarrassment . What inspired you to start your own business?
We were fed up with watching the same old same old same old bands and thought we could offer something different; we have !
Why should our clients choose you?
Because we are genuinely different - so many band say they are "different" and of course some of them are - but many of them just wear matching (and usually ill fitting) dinner suits and jig up and down a bit whilst reading the music off the charts on the music stand. We don't allow music stands on stage - we need the space to move about and show some spontaneity to the audience. We also work hard at selecting some "different" songs. We don't just run through the Jacko/Earth Wind and Fire songbook. We cannot see the point- if that's what you want, fine - but in our view you're probably better off with a DJ!! So if you want some interesting funky music and a genuinely fun band check us out. Our recipe results in repeat bookings at club venues, festivals in UK, France and Ireland, private events - and a great reception wherever we perform !!
Band
Bad Girls Groove are a soul/funk/blues/jazz band. We always give a totally professional performance - both in sound and visually. We don't have "fixed setlists", so we ensure we tailor our performance to the particular venue/audience. We don't play tired old disco hits (job for the DJ!) but we do play interesting and lively music. In short we are a REAL band with real musicians and 3 gorgeous girl singers who love to get down amongst the audience for some lively interaction !
