Working with Atalaw has been a positive experience during a stressful time for my family. Walata has been very understanding of the situation and it has been clear in her communication and advice she has dispensed during our engagement.
The quality of service received has been nothing short of excellent. Points I want to call out are:
- Communication - Walata was always timely and prompt with her communications making sure we understood the pace at which things needed to move to benefit us. She also kept us updated and informed of conversations she was having on our behalf and debriefed us when necessary.
- Knowledge - Walata demonstrated a breadth of knowledge which made us feel safe and in good hands to take our case forward. A deep understanding of the subject area was clear throughout our engagement allowing us to accelerate the process and file the relevant applications.
- Quality - The outputs from Atalaw were impressive. Draft statements and applications were all produced to a high professional standard. This is more expressive when considered around the time constraints and the turnaround time of each application and statement.
- Honest - Walata is good at presenting facts in a structured way that allowed me to follow and understand how things will be perceived. Walata has been good at delivering hard messages to us through our engagement which I have appreciated.
- Personable and available - Walata is very approachable and personable. When questions have arose, she has been at hand to answers these for us at the right level so we could understand. When I wasn't being prompt in my communication, Walata also checked in with me to make sure we were getting things done on time.

What do you love most about your job?
Hearing the relief of my clients when they have obtained a settlement of their matter, from gaining possession of their property, to signing a lease to their new business premises. Taking the pressure away from my clients is a joy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to manage my own time. I believe I am now able to offer clients more time and a better standard of care than I believe I was able to provide when working for other solicitor firms.
Why should our clients choose you?
Being a sole practitioner with a small team my clients are always able to speak directly to me. I pride myself in listening to my clients wants and needs and providing them with realistic, clear advice whether or not it is what they want to hear.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I can provide remote services if required by my clients, however some matters will require personal attendance such as witnessing statutory declarations.
Possession/ eviction
If you require your tenants to leave your property we can advise you on the best course of action. We are able to advise you through the procedures or carry out the procedure on your behalf.
Disrepair - poor housing conditions
If your home is in a poor condition and your landlords have failed to carry out works we can seek an order from the Court compelling them to carry out the required work and will seek compensation for your suffering. We may be able to offer a No Win No Fee agreement dependant upon the merits of your case.
Will Drafting
We provide a professional Will drafting service. Our rates are competitive. We offer an initial consultation, which is free should you instruct us to prepare your Will. Our advice sets out safeguards you may not have thought about.
Civil Litigation
We provide Defendants and Claimants with full advice and representation with regards to claims brought in the Money Claims Centre and County Courts.

We offer Probate services, catered to your needs, from grant of probate only to a comprehensive estate administration which includes submitting inheritance tax forms, preparing an application for the grant of probate and distribution of the estate.
