I hired Andrew through Bark to create a professional logo for my business and paid a £125 deposit upfront. I was pressured to pay quickly, with the promise that work would start immediately and the design would be ready before my tight deadline. That never happened.

He missed three separate deadlines, offered a concept that was just a basic rework of the rough idea I gave him, and put in zero creative effort. It was obvious he didn’t take the project seriously. When I questioned the quality, he promised results after further 48h and failed to deliver anything better, actually, he delivered incomplete project.

What really shocked me was that he tried to win my trust by badmouthing "Indian freelancers", claiming he was more professional and experienced — yet he behaved worse than any freelancer I’ve ever dealt with. He made empty promises, misled me about his abilities, and clearly exaggerated his experience.

Despite not delivering on a single promise, he ceased communication after requesting a deposit. Twice. I’ve had to report him to Bark and my bank and am taking further steps to recover the money through official channels.

As a photographer and photo editor, I would never take a deposit without delivering value — this was unethical and exploitative. Not only did he waste my time and money, but he also delayed the launch of my business by failing to do what he promised.

1. I didn't miss any deadline set nor was any deadline set by you or me I told you it probably would be Tuesday I sent Wednesday . 2.Zero effort ? I reproduce as vector as you asked the two coins perfectly . 3. When you said this was awful I wrote to say I was shocked as I had created exactly what you sent in vector format. 4. I didnt say would improve you then sent another version in a completely different colour and design saying this is what you wanted , again you sent a jpeg not a file I could alter so had to redraw . 5.I made the changes as requested and said I didnt feel you can appreciate what ive done. 6.I didnt bad mouth 'Indians' you did by saying you had worked with them for 6 weeks to produced what you sent me with bad communication I agreed and I took 3 days repeat 3 days to do what you asked for.Plus you delbt with a friend you say who stopped communicating with you , I wonder why ? 7. I behaved worse than a free lancer ? how ? 8.Not delivering on a single promise ? I created two times what you asked for and spent 7 hours repeat 7 hours with your project. 8. You fail to mention the cost which you said was far too expensive I quoted you and you paid I doubt work for minimum wage or charge as Indians do on Fiver. 9.Expolotive and unethical ,by asking for a deposit , the reason I do this as virtually every designer does is to stop being messed about as you have done. 10. You keep referring to your deadline not once did you say you had a deadline if you did the time taken would be exactly the same. 11. I resent your slurs I am a professional you got what you asked for and seems simply you can cast your slurs from your key board, I wouldn't be surprised if you do this all the time.You threaten me with a review unless I paid you I wont do this as I did what you asked for, shame on you. 12. Other honest people wouldn't do what you have done... if I could post what you sent and what I did would clearly show the world.
