Artificial Grass Installation
Liam contacted me through Bark and I took him up on the quote. Where to start. Liam was supposed to arrive Monday 5th August, that was delayed (only after I contacted him) to the Wednesday. Again, only after I contact him on Tuesday evening to confirm he’s still coming does he delay it to the Thursday, Thursday morning comes.. no Liam but another excuse. In the meantime, 5 tonnes of material arrives and is put in a public grass area as they can’t reach into our garden. Friday morning comes, no Liam. The grass arrived, has to be put in our Neighbour’s garden because the delivery guy can’t carry it on his own (Liam was supposed to be here to help as it’s extremely heavy) he didn’t answer phone calls or text messages. I then get a message early afternoon with another excuse. He’s now coming the weekend, this quickly changes to Monday. Monday comes, no Liam. But another message with another excuse. He’s now going to arrive Tuesday, here we are on Tuesday and NO LIAM! no excuse this time, just ignoring me. I now have 5 tonnes of material I have to try and somehow move! I’m so angry and disappointed, I have wasted annual leave, taken unpaid leave, waited in all day, had family come over from Bristol to be here to let him in and he has not shown in 6 attempts over an 8 day span. We luckily have most materials we’ve paid for, but we are still out of pocket and now stuck with a lot of work to do. The company has also been dissolved. I hired Artificial Grass South Wales last year for a landscaping project in our garden. After many excuses they kept delaying the job. After two months of not showing up, I finally had to cancel the job but they refused to refund the hefty deposit although there is no mention in the quote that the deposit is not refundable. The company argued that the deposit has been used to buy raw materials but they also refused to give me raw materials. I finally had to take them to small claims court. After that they proposed to refund the deposit in installments. It has been 6 months and i am still waiting for the first instalment. Overall an awful experience with a very dishonest company.
