Arm2Arm is a CQC registered Homecare service. We aim to support people to regain and maintain their confidence and independence with a combination of both emotional and health and social care support.
At Arm2Arm support services we believe that person-centred care moves away from professionals deciding what is best for an individual, and places the service user at the centre, as an expert of their own experience.

I’m very happy with Arm2Arm. They have given me the opportunity to be able meet up with friends, have lunch and shop. I’m happy with the care they provide for my husband.

Excellent service, provided palliative care for my mum when she was in her last days with cancer. I couldn’t fault the service, my mum was well looked after and she was treated with dignity and respect and had companionship at all times.

How long have you been in business?
Arm2Arm has been operating for almost a year. Though we haven't been operating for long as a business, since operating we have had positive feedback from our customers and staff and we have continued to grow as an organisation.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
If we are cleaning we usually ask our service users their preference-if they prefer us to bring our cleaning supplies we facilitate this.
What do you love most about your job?
Making a difference in our service users lives is rewarding-seeing an individual who had lost hope in regaining/maintaining their independence being able to achieve this and how this is empowering for them is what we love most about the service we provide.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a mental health nurse by profession-I have had a lot of experience of working and supporting people with different needs, some which have been complex. My speciality being supporting patients with dementia diagnosis- I nursed individuals in care settings/hospital settings who through no support at home ended up in a care settings, some with needs that could have been easily managed in the comfort of their own home but due to lack of support within their home they were left with limited choice of where they could receive the support and care they required.
It was heart-breaking to see how the change of environment from being in the comfort of own home to a new setting could have a negative impact on an individual and how they can suddenly deteriorate. For me that was what inspired me to get into homecare business-if I could support an individual to remain in the comfort of their own home for as long as I can manage to support them in that environment, I would have made a great achievement.
