We also offer a ‘Design and Build’ service which is when our designers work with the clients to prepare the structural and architectural drawings and secure permission from their Local Authorities before our skilled builders complete the construction.

How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Regulations regarding loft conversions can vary significantly based on the property type and location. For instance, flats or houses in conservation areas may not have permitted development rights for loft conversions. In such cases, a planning application is necessary. Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Our Permitted Development Loft Conversion Process:
Free Initial Consultation: We'll visit your property to assess the loft space, take measurements, and discuss potential floor layouts and designs to suit your needs.
Collaborative Design: Based on your initial consultation, we'll create preliminary drawings for your loft conversion. You'll have the opportunity to provide feedback and request revisions until you're happy with the design.
Lawful Development Application (Optional): In most cases, permitted development rights allow loft conversions without full planning permission. We can advise on the regulations and submit a Lawful Development Certificate application to your local authority on your behalf (if required).
Building Regulations Approval: Once we have confirmation of permitted development rights (or planning permission if needed), we'll develop Building Regulation (BR) and structural engineer drawings. These drawings will be submitted to your local building control for approval to ensure your loft conversion meets all safety and construction standards.
Construction: Following building control approval, construction can begin using the approved BR drawings.
