I have now used Apple Planning and Design Ltd twice in order to achieve planning approval. My second application was initially refused, so Steve helped me take the decision to appeal. This was a frustrating, long and an uncertain period for me and my business, but Steve calmly guided me through the process. He was patient and reassuring. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field. He can take the emotion out of the situation (which is hard for the applicant) but also show understanding of frustrations. He quickly replies to emails and is always readily available at the end of the phone should you have any questions. The level of customer service I received along with his wealth of experience was invaluable. We were successful with our appeal and I thank Steve for all his guidance and support during this process. We can't recommend Steve from Apple Planning and Design Ltd enough as he managed to win our planning appeal. We needed help with retrospective planning for a large wooden workshop in the front garden of our West Oxfordshire house, which is situated in a conservation area. Steve was incredible, he went into enormous detail to ensure he covered ever possible aspect that would be looked at by the appeal officer. He brilliantly wrote up, put together and submitted all the appeal documentation, informed us of the information we need to give him with plenty of time for us to put it together and throughout the process was always available at the end of the phone and on email and was positive and extremely knowledgable. Andy and Gordon did a very good job always willing to go the extra mile. Only problem we experienced was with the plasterers. They didn’t supply a quote when work scope was explained just supplied a bill for work completed. When it was explained they hadn’t completed the work, the plasterer turned up with no materials and no money to purchase same. I had to supply the cash but no itemised receipt was presented. Steve is a very experienced and knowledgeable architect. He is very personable and very reliable. From initial consultation to final planning approval Steve communicated promptly and answered all our questions regarding the planning application. Steve hand draws the plans which have all the necessary details. He suggested and commissioned hand drawn colour visuals of the finished building extension which gave us and the council 3D visuals, very useful. The council were slow to respond to our application, but Steve kept communicating with the council officials, with whom he obviously has a good relationship. He followed up on all queries immediately. Our project is a grade 2 listed building, as such this requires a good understanding of the council’s expectation to get the plans approved, which Steve obviously has. Superbly efficient! Apprehensive at first due to being based in Cheshire East and Atrium are in the midlands.
