What do you love most about your job?
I love working in a creative space, and I love using media to tell stories. I started off as a writer/journalist and that will always be a big part of who I am, but the creativity that comes from video production adds so much to how we can tell stories. I feel very lucky to work in this field.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I spent years working as a staff video editor, but eventually grew a bit tired of not being able to shoot my own work as well. This has been my background since I trained in video production, and it was an element of production I had missed. In late-2022, I decided to jump away from staff work and into freelance, and bought my own camera a short time later.
Why should our clients choose you?
For many reasons:
*A varied skillset. I have worn pretty much all hats within production spaces, and can be either one cog in a much larger machine; or the entire machine, if that's what the project needs
*Tons of experience. I have spent the last decade living in either New York City or London, and have worked with incredibly varied clientele throughout. Few things surprise me a decade into my career
*Thorough communication. Many video professionals I work with are more dedicated trades people who are great at their jobs, but might not be great at communicating with clients. As I have a communications/journalism background, I bring a friendly, communicative touch to all work I do
*A good sense of humour (I hope!)

Yes, if it is post production work, I can readily work remotely/online. Obviously if a camera is involved, that might not be possible!

Offline and online video editing of all lengths -- from social to commercial to documentary, I have done it all
Camera operating
I have a Sony FX3 with a full set of lenses, lights, and sound equipment, and can handle shoots in studios, or on locations
Directing
I can see commercial projects through from a top-down perspective
Scripting
I have spent years scripting documentary-style videos. I am very comfortable taking ideas/looking at products, and shaping compelling narratives around them
