It's very difficult to find a reliable tradesman and this experience is just another exmaple of why I don't like to trust them. Alan was paid £250 to replace our guttering after weather damage and the worked appeared to be okay until the neighbour complained that the end cap of our guttering hadn't been fitted properly and fallen off which is impacting their gutter too. I contacted Alan about this at the start of May and gave him 30 days to return to the property to fix the issue. He promised several times to attend but never came back and now I'll have to pay someone else to do the job he should've done in the first place! I don't understand why people think it's okay to take money for a job and not complete it. I would not recommend and if you ever have to use a tradesman don't pay them via bank transfer, use PayPal or debit card chip and pin so you are PROTECTED against cases like this. More...

What do you love most about your job?
I like the freedom of working for myself and meeting new people.
I do many things so mixing it up keep's it interesting ie: one week installing a new roof the following week i could be fitting a house full of windows.
It's great to stand back and look at the finished product. After 20+ years I still take pride in my work.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I got into the building trade through scuba diving. Long story.
I love being outdoors and meeting new people.
Why should our clients choose you?
Bark's clients should choose me because I'm honest, hard working and pretty good at my job. I don't have a big ego and understand clients needs. Some builders just dont listen.
