Very happy with our experience employing Alan to replace a kitchen sink and some worktop for us.
He was 100% reliable.
He visited to assess the job exactly when he said he would and gave us some sound advice regarding which materials to choose.
He completed the job in the time that he agreed with minimal disruption to our routine. There were some complications with some of the goods having been damaged in transit. Very frustrating for all of us, but Al remained patient throughout and simply returned when the goods had been replaced, finishing the job Swiftly and efficiently. He stayed within the quoting price originally agreed.
He was punctual, tidy and professional.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Al and when we require any further work, he will be our first port of call.

What do you love most about your job?
I have always loved turning something into something else. Wood, screws, glue etc plus time and effort a bespoke cupboard. Copper, fittings, bath suite into a new mobility bathroom to help a person who struggles to bathe anymore. To see someone smile because there's not water pouring through the ceiling, or they finally have the storage they needed, fitting a kitchen or bathroom so your home looks like something out of the magazines it's priceless. To me it's a very straightforward thing, but l've been doing it 30+ years but I still get a kick out of people's faces with the reveal of the project big or small
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've just started my business, I was ill and l've had to take a break for 18 months to get it sorted. Because of being ill like that, it makes you look long and hard at what you want to do with life, I still have 15+ years till retirement so l intend to use that time, doing what I love doing for customers across the area who need me and appreciate good service. Unfortunately sometimes jobs will become bigger, as the result of bodged jobs before at all times I will keep you informed of what's going on, and solutions to fix it. They'll be no teeth sucking here and oh that's going to cost you
I'm not one of those tradesmen, I do get asked why I don't do it, because there's always a solution to a problem and it doesn't have to cost the earth. I'm just a professional who wants to do a good job every time, and make myself and the owner happy. My work comes with a full guarantee, if I wouldn't do it in my house I won't do it in yours. That's how I treat every job, as if I'm doing it in my home, whereas some trades work on the theory just get it done as quick as possible
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
If customers ask me I will wear a mask while working in their properties, as I fully understand some people need to take extra care. I also use hand sanitizer regularly, it's something l've used long before COVID affected ours lived so it's second nature to me already, anything I can do
