Review for ACL Roofing Ltd
I had a very disappointing experience with ACL Roofing Ltd. Initially, they quoted £750, but after a site visit, the cost increased to £1,150.
Despite the price increase, the work was not done properly. Instead of completing the agreed brickwork, they used excessive fire foam, and the repointing was poorly executed, leaving noticeable gaps.
When I raised concerns, the team was unprofessional and resistant to fixing the issues. They were more focused on getting paid than ensuring the job was completed to a satisfactory standard. I requested an invoice before releasing the payment, but they responded rudely and insisted on immediate payment. Additionally, they left the site messy and did not reinstall the insulation as agreed.
Overall, I would not recommend ACL Roofing Ltd due to their lack of professionalism, misleading pricing, and subpar workmanship.

Paid £230 plus vat for a roof survey when buying a house. Was given a full report outlining work that needed doing to the main roof including replacing purlins and the flat roof totalling £8940 for the main roof and £8280 for the flat roof. I then had a further 2 surveys done (one by the seller and one by a family friend of mine with 25 years roofing experience) plus a fitter survey of the flat roof and all advised that no work whatsoever needed doing. Even taking into consideration differences in opinion I can’t see how this quote was made with any intention other than to mislead me into paying over £16 000 for works that didn’t need doing.
