Working at Acadia Care Setting has been a meaningful and rewarding experience. As a member of staff, I have seen firsthand the dedication to providing person-centered care in a respectful and supportive environment.
The management encourages teamwork, and most colleagues are committed to maintaining a high standard of care for the residents.
One of the things I value most is the opportunity to build positive relationships with the residents and their families. There is a strong focus on promoting dignity, independence, and emotional wellbeing, which is at the heart of what we do.
The work can be demanding at times, especially during busy shifts or when staffing levels are low. However, there is a growing effort from management to listen to staff concerns, improve communication, and support work-life balance where possible. Training is provided regularly, which helps build confidence and professional development.
Like any care setting, there are challenges, but I believe Acadia is moving in a good direction. With continued focus on consistency, adequate staffing, and clearer communication, the care environment will become even stronger, for both residents and staff.
Overall, I am proud to be part of the Acadia team and to contribute to the care and comfort of those we support.
