Until recently I was lucky enough to be a full time mum while living abroad. But back in the Uk and with the kids out of school, I wanted to return to work but to do something reasonably flexible/part time with job satisfaction. Being a carer has been a brilliant fit for me and I am thoroughly enjoying my new role. I moved to Haslemere 2 years ago. I am semi-retired and had no previous care experience. I walked into the office of In Home Care in Haslemere one afternoon back in April, just to make enquiries about becoming a carer. I was immediately struck by the very warm and friendly welcome I received. I completed my application and then at the beginning of May attended a week of excellent (and enjoyable) training in Chichester. From there, I did several shadowing calls with other carers, all of whom were so helpful and encouraging to me, but also so dedicated to the wellbeing of their clients. So then, time to "go it alone", but I needn't have worried as the help and support provided by In Home Care is second to none. Always there if you have any concerns. The working hours are very flexible and well paid. I have honestly met so many lovely people over the last two months - Seniors, Carers and, of course, our clients. There is real team/family spirit at In Home Care and everybody's aim is to provide the best possible care to our clients. I find it a privilege. I am so glad I walked into that office on that April afternoon. I absolutely love this job. It is so rewarding to be able to give assistance to our lovely clients in their own homes. The Directors of the company are brilliant, they are always there if you need them and the Management team they have in place are always there to support you.

We are really happy with Dacorum In-Home Care services and highly recommend them. They were able to take our mum on at short-notice when we really needed a reliable care agency.
Their level of care is excellent and the carers are well trained, kind and considerate and able to cater for all mum's needs. She always looks forward to seeing them. They have been flexible with the times and number of visits we require which suits our family set up perfectly and their time keeping is great.

We could provide welfare checks by telephone, however all other daily aspects of living need direct support with the individual needing it.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Following the Covid virus all staff were training to a higher level of infection control, had vaccinations and an insight into the impact of spreading bacteria to others who may be quite vulnerable or have a compromised immune system. Staff are provided with full PPE and are taught how to dispose of it correctly. Most importantly the staff are trained to recognise changes in the individual and get the help that is needed without delay.

Live In Care

Having a carer live in your home with you can be a little daunting, however, you’ll find our staff professional and discreet and there for your needs.
Waking / Sleeping Night
Do you need support overnight, we can provide this service too. You can have a carer sleep in if you have a spare room or you can have a carer who will be awake during the night and you just need to call to them for any help you needs. Again this service will be tailored to your needs.
