Mike and Alex did a fantastic job converting our garage into a salon for my wife’s business. Job was completed in good time, with no problems at all.

As a serious DIY'er I was interested how a full re wire would be done, thought it would be chaotic. I was amazed how quickly all the cabling went in with minimal disruption.
The whole job was done in less than three days... And no faults at the end :-)
Minor issue around my old plumbing but Mike sorted it and willingly threw in one or two 'extras' on my job.
I'd use GHS again.

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Most garages are suitable for conversion, but visual check's initially such as, are cracks evident in the walls, is the roof covering in a good condition, a damp patches evident, is the floor even or sloped or even cracked.
most of the above can be repaired or improved though, with building works.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Stage 1. Use type.
Stage 2. Is planning required, certain conversions ie for business use, will required planning and liaison with Building Control.
Stage 3. In-depth inspection of current garage undertaken.
Stage 4. Detailed drawings showing construction methods produced and agreed.
Stage 5. Works undertaken.
