Hello! I'm a Clinical Psychologist that specialises in relational trauma. I'll support you to understand and recognise the ways trauma might be affecting you, and implement healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

I have often found that understanding my clients' diagnoses and symptoms simply as a response to the things they have lived through, has been valuable in helping them to shed the stigma and self-blame they often carry with them. Simply put, we are who we are because of the things that have happened to us. As a result, we might find that we're stuck in cycles of behaviours that no longer serve us but feel totally at a loss as to how to do things differently. This is not unusual; it is often difficult to be any different when how we are currently is all we’ve ever known.

We will work together to figure out how your current behaviours came about, the purpose they might have served at various points, and the ways in which they’re now keeping you from reaching your full potential. From this, we'll work to identify healthier patterns to break the cycles that are keeping you stuck.

I believe that good therapy is about empowering you to grow into your own greatest resource. Over time, you’ll naturally internalise the insights and tools we explore together. I like to think of it like learning a new language; at first, we’ll practise together, but soon you’ll find yourself speaking it fluently on your own. I’m here to offer a validating, containing and supportive space where we can work together to reconnect with your truest self and your inner strength so that you will continue to reap the benefits of therapy long after our work together comes to an end.
