What’s not to love! I get to help people develop their own yoga practice for a living :-) When someone leaves a class saying how much better they feel it absolutely makes my day.

My first few careers were in the legal and corporate world. They were demanding, high stress, long hours and soulless. Financial reward just isn’t enough compensation for working in that sort of environment. I had been practicing yoga since my early 20’s and had always dreamed of being a yoga teacher so one day, after a particularly stressful period at work, I decided “What the heck! You only live once”, retrained as a yoga teacher and left corporate life behind, I haven’t looked back since.

This is a difficult question to answer. We are so fortunate in this part of the world that there are lots of yoga teachers to choose from. I recommend that everyone try’s a few different classes with different teachers. We all have different styles and teach in different ways. There is a teacher and a style of yoga out there for everyone so don’t give up if you don’t enjoy a class, just look for a different one.

I run a mixture of classes, some are strong flow classes, others are gentle Hatha classes and my private lessons are tailored to what the student needs to work on in any given week. That might be to build strength, flexibility, help with anxiety, work on an injury, general mobility or relaxation.
